Abstract: Hand-held shellfish pliers, comprising a first handle (1), a second handle (2), first jaw (24) and second jaw (35), wherein said first jaw (24) is arranged on one of said handles (1, 2), and wherein there is arranged a pivot point (A) for interaction between the handles (1, 2), and wherein the jaws (24, 35) form a converging gap, presenting an opening (Dmax) in the diverging extension (E) of said gap, wherein there is a multiple lever structure where the force applied to the handles (1, 2) is geared via fulcrum points (A, B) in order to magnify said force.

Abstract: A nut cracker having a cup, a lever and a handle. The cup having a wall and a bottom defining an internal, generally conical space sized to contain a nut placed therein such that when the nut is cracked pieces of the shell are contained within the cup. The lever is provided in a slot through the wall of the cup such that the lever can be pivoted towards the portion of interior surface of the wall to crush a nut between a surface of the lever and a portion of interior surface of the wall opposite the lever. The handle is pivotally attached to the top of the cup such that when the handle is moved in a direction towards the cup the lever surface moves towards the portion of the interior surface of the wall.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a nut cracker that comprises a cup (1) with an internal, generally conical space, a lever (10) provided adjacent to the conical space, said lever (10) being pivotally attached to the cup (1), and a handle (20) that is pivotally attached to the cup (1). It is significant of the nut cracker according to the present invention that the lever (10) and the handle (20) have means (16, 22) to achieve a guided cooperation between the lever (10) and the handle (20) in the axial direction (A) of the cup (1).
