Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a device and system for receiving user input. User interface events are first formed from low-level events generated by a user interface input device such as a touch screen. The user interface events are modified by forming information on a modifier 5 for the user interface events such as time and coordinate information. The events and their modifiers are sent to a gesture recognition engine, where gesture information is formed from the user interface events and their modifiers. The gesture information is then used as user input to the apparatus. In other words, the gestures may not be 10 formed directly from the low-level events of the input device. Instead, user interface events are formed from the low-level events, and gestures are then recognized from these user interface events.

Abstract: A method is provided for handling a service of a predetermined type within a charging system comprising a server and a client. The method includes receiving, at the client, a request for the service of the predetermined type from a terminal, transmitting said request from the client to the server in a charging control request in which the service of the predetermined type is indicated, checking, at said server, whether the requested service of the predetermined type can be granted, and if granted, responding, by said server, with a control message to the client, and measuring, by the client, the usage of resources consumed by the granted service in response to said control message, and reporting the measured used resources for the service at a predetermined condition from the client to the server in a report message. Abstract: A system and method for achieving unitary installation of software at each time software is installed in user units of a distributed computer system. A specially adapted recipe is created from a general recipe which has fewer questions than the general recipe, or even no questions at all. This requires less information, or no information, from the user. This specially adapted recipe may either be used to achieve unitary installation of a program product in a plurality of mutually similar units of a computer system. The method enables a specially adapted installation recipe or configuration recipe to be created which can be re-used for manually, semi-automatically or fully automatically creating, installing or reconfiguring software. This reduces the total work in creating and/or installing a plurality of software programs or reconfiguring existing software while being aware of how these were created and/or installed or configured.
