  • Patent number: 5884113
Abstract: A photographic device such as a camera having a camera body with a first side having a lens mounting device and a second side having a mounting device arranged to mount a film cassette or a rear camera body cover. The second side is located opposite to the first side. The rear camera body cover is attachable to the cover mounting device of the camera body and the cover has an inner side facing the camera body and an outer side opposite to the inner side. The film cassette is attachable to the cover mounting device of the camera body when the rear camera body cover is detached from the cover mounting device. The film cassette is arranged to carry a roll of film and to keep a film frame of the film in a flat state facing the camera body. The device further has an interchangeable lens and an extendable lens hood. The cover further has at least one opening arranged in a location corresponding to one corner or side of the film frame.

  • Patent number: 5839004
Abstract: A device and a method for facilitating the focusing of a camera during a so-called tilt operation, in which an image plane/focusing plane of a camera is angled relative the optical axis of an objective lens or vice versa, in order to obtain an inclined plane of focus, the camera being provided with a focusing screen located in said image plane/focusing plane and an optical viewing location, the optical axis which coincides with the optical axis of said focusing screen, said tilt operation resulting in the exiting light from the focusing screen being directed away from said viewing location, wherein an optical wedge is located between said focusing screen and said viewing location in such a way as to redirect the exiting light to said viewing location at which an eyepiece or an observer's eye is located. In a preferred embodiment, said optical wedge is a fresnel prism plate located adjacent to said focusing screen on the side of the exiting light.

  • Patent number: 4896031
Abstract: A receiver for receiving optical radiation includes detectors which, on reception, emit an electric signal. The detectors are operative to emit an electric signal of a level which is substantially independent of the angle of incidence of the optical radiation on the receiver.

  • Patent number: 4458147
Abstract: This invention relates to a device for use when evaluating optical signals by means of a chopper (2, 2'), i.e. a rotating shutter, and a photodetector (6, 6') for detecting the signal transmitted through the chopper (2, 2'). In order to improve the evaluation of the incident signal the opaque part (3, 3') of the chopper is provided with a reflective surface (7) to utilize also the optical signal falling on the opaque part (3, 3'). An additional photodetector (9, 9') has been arranged for detecting this reflected optical signal. In order to reduce the energy losses and in this way increase the amplification of the optical signal the device also comprises an optical element in the form of a glass prism (10, 10') in which one and the same surface is utilized both for transmitting and reflecting the optical signal.

  • Patent number: 3946674
Abstract: A projectile comprises an elongated casing containing a payload, a proximity fuze, a transmitter unit operative to transmit a beam of radiation toward a target, and a receiver unit responsive to radiation reflected from the target for controlling the proximity fuze to selectively initiate operation of the payload at a predetermined distance from the target. The transmitter unit is located adjacent the tail end of the projectile rearward of the payload and comprises a pyrotechnical charge positioned at the extreme rear of the projectile and operative, when ignited, to cause emission of light via a lens in an opening in the side of the projectile to form the transmitted beam of radiation. The receiver unit is located adjacent the nose end of the projectile forward of the payload to maximize the measuring base between the transmitted and received beams of radiation, and comprises an optical system associated with an interference filter, radiation detector, and electronic control circuit.
