Abstract: A director for routing a message from a client to a chosen one of a plurality of servers to access a resource and for routing the response of the resource from the chosen server to the client. Each message has an indication of its origin, an indication of its destination and a message body. The message body comprises first input means for receiving a first input message from the client, first output means for providing a first output message to the chosen server, second input means for receiving a second input message from the chosen server in response to the first output message, an indication identifying the client; and second output means for providing a second output message to the one client in response to the second input message, indicating its source as the routing means, and its destination as the one client.

Abstract: A radio handset which includes a processor having a memory, for performing the functions of the handset by communicating between originating entities and destination entities. Some of the entities being within the handset and at least one being locatable within an ancillary device. The handset further includes an interface coupled to the processor having a radio transceiver arranged for coupling to the ancillary device and communicating therewith to enhance the functions of the handset, and routing apparatus, coupled to the processor. The routing apparatus is arranged to provide communication between an entity in the handset and an entity in the ancillary device by enabling the creation of a proxy entity in the handset for transaction with the entity in the handset.

Abstract: A method of transferring a data packet from a providing communication terminal to a requesting communication terminal, wherein the requesting communication terminal transfers a message to the providing communication terminal including a requests for receiving the data packet and a first unique identification code identifying the requesting communication terminal. Upon receipt of the message the providing communication terminal verifies the validity of the first unique Identification code. When the verification has been ended successfully, the providing communication terminal responds by transferring a message to the requesting communication terminal including the requested data packet and a second unique identification code, Then the requesting communication terminal verifies the validity of the second unique identification code and stores the data packet accordingly when the verification has been successful.
