  • Publication number: 20100167849
Abstract: An arrow (10) for use in hunting or sport archery, includes a shaft (3) of variable materials, profiles and lengths; an aerodynamically profiled head (4) of variable materials and shapes, having blades or knives if designed for hunting use; a nock (1) for connecting the arrow to the string of a bow; a fletching (20) for stabilizing the flight of the arrow, which is composed of a plurality of aerodynamically profiled thin vanes (2), equally spaced over the outer profile of the arrow and defined by an aerodynamically profiled surface (2B) and a transverse foot (2A). Each vane is fitted into a corresponding slit or aperture (3A) formed in the shaft (3) and its aerodynamically profiled surface (2B) projects out of the slit (3A). Each vane so fitted is held in position by its foot (2A) which is retained within the shaft while abutting against the corresponding surface (3B).

  • Publication number: 20100116260
Abstract: A coupling system for limbs (3) of archery devices (1) such as bows and crossbows, includes a pair of limbs (3) joined at their ends by a bowstring (4) which is used for loading the energy to be released onto the arrow and to the center onto a support (2) of the device. In this system, the limbs (3) are hinged to the support (2) in such a manner as to be movable about an axis (A1) of a pin (5) for fastening together the support (2) and the limbs (3); the axis (A1) being perpendicular to the plane that passes through the limbs (3) and the bowstring (4).

  • Publication number: 20040194771
Abstract: A crossbow (1) includes a frame (2) having at least a flexing element (3) and a bowstring (4) strung between opposite ends of the flexing element (3) positioned substantially perpendicular, under rest conditions, to the shooting axis of the crossbow. On the frame (2) is mounted a trigger block (8) provided with means for catching and releasing the bowstring. The trigger block (8) can be translated on a rectilinear path parallel to the longitudinal axis of the crossbow, in which in a first phase the trigger block advances towards the flexing element (3) until it automatically catches the bowstring (4), and in a second phase the trigger block (8) moves back until reaching a positioning of correct tensioning of the bowstring. The trigger block is actuated by electromechanical means shaped in such a way as to produce on the trigger block (8) a force that is substantially parallel to the shooting axis of the crossbow to carry out said first and second phase.
