  • Patent number: 7510131
Abstract: A nozzle, comprising a housing; and an assembly including at least two deformable conjugated parts separated by a spacer seal, the assembly being arranged in the housing so as to form a nozzle outlet, the housing and the parts and the spacer seal being deformable so as to define a geometry of the nozzle outlet and seal surfaces between the parts and the spacer seal and between the parts and the housing; wherein the parts and the spacer seal are configured so that a force needed for inserting the assembly into the housing exceeds an assembly force that deforms of at least one of the housing and the assembly, and wherein the parts and the housing are deformed by the assembly force when assembled together to create a seal between the parts and the housing; and wherein the housing is fabricated from material having a lower hardness than the parts and the spacer seal.

  • Publication number: 20070185437
Abstract: The present invention relates to a needle-free syringe which has a closer that can be released or otherwise opened such that a greater percentage, and preferably all of the desired dose of fluid vaccine or other active agent is injected at a substantially uniform velocity. The dose is delivered by applying sufficient pressure to the fluid, which is stored in a suitable container, to push it toward a pressure-releasable closure such that the desired dose or volume of fluid is ejected from the device to the appropriate layer of the body.

  • Patent number: 7185833
Abstract: A nozzle having a housing and an assembly including at least two conjugated parts separated by a spacer seal. The assembly is arranged in the housing so as to form a nozzle outlet. At least one of he housing, the parts, and the spacer seal are deformable so as to define a geometry of the nozzle outlet and seal surfaces between the parts and the spacer seal and between the parts and the housing.

  • Publication number: 20060264855
Abstract: The present invention relates to the contact-less medicine delivery, more particularly to the delivery of medicine via mucosal (oral, nasal, eyeball) for precise, damage-free surface delivery, for more effective penetration of the medicine (vaccine) via mucosal, which is very important for activating immune cells. The method involves accumulating the required amount of the liquid in an elastic tube and expelling this liquid in the direction of the mucosal surface. The fluid is expelled in the course of impact caused by mechanical or electrical forces. This system may be cheap and completely disposable. This fact is very important for mass vaccination. This system can be most effectively used for the delivery of medicine to the eye as one of the body's most sensitive surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7045934
Abstract: The method of and the apparatus for the formation of a high-speed fluid or slurry jets of a desired geometry are invented. According to the present invention a fluid or slurry jet is formed by the expelling of a compressed fluid via a slot formed by two attached plates separated by the insertion. The shape of the slot is determined by the forms of the plates and the insertion. This shape is also determined by the deformation of the plates and the insertion by the external forces applied to the plates, for example by the fasteners connecting the plates.
