Abstract: Propulsion device with outboard waterjet for marine vehicles, which comprises a nacelle (2) which at its interior houses a propeller (3) constituted by a pump (11) actuatable for generating a flow of fluid through the nacelle (2) according to an outflow sense (VF). The nacelle (2) comprises: a front dynamic intake (12) having passage sections substantially increasing according to the aforesaid outflow sense (VF), in a manner such to cause a slowing of the local speed of the fluid and a pressure rise; a rear discharge nozzle (14) having passage sections substantially decreasing in the outflow sense (VF) of the fluid, in a manner such to cause an increase of the local speed of the fluid and a pressure decrease, creating a propulsive thrust jet at the outlet of the discharge nozzle (14).

Abstract: A fluid-flow measuring ball valve includes a replaceable ball within a housing. The replaceable ball includes a flow restriction calibrated to the characteristics of the fluid. Pressure ports on either side of the ball provide for obtaining pressure readings which can be used to determine fluid flow.

Abstract: The patent concerns a ball valve with a flow-rate gauge incorporated into it, said ball being equipped with a calibrated borehole which constitutes a constriction to the passage of the fluid which passes through the ball. The valve also has two pressure intakes placed before and after the ball respectively, to measure the flow-rate of the fluid that passes through it.
