  • Publication number: 20040165842
Abstract: A flexible pressure tube includes a pressure tube cladding defining an axis and having an interior space for flow of a pressurized medium. The pressure tube cladding is constructed in the form of a homogeneous layer which is suitable to transmit data encoded in light waves in a direction of the axis, wherein the homogeneous layer is made of a flexible optical waveguide material. The pressure tube may be part of an apparatus for conducting pressurized medium and transmission of data, which apparatus includes a coupling assembly having a coupling unit for connecting one axial end of the flexible pressure tube to a pressurized-medium-operated structure, and another coupling unit for connecting the other axial end of the flexible pressure tube to a pressurized-medium-operated structure. • Patent number: 6138717
Abstract: A plate-shaped valve arrangement has oppositely located connection surfaces and includes a baseplate element with at least two pressure medium channels and a valve element with pressure medium connections on at least one surface which is outfitted on at least one surface with corresponding pressure medium connections. An electrically controllable valve drive is arranged at a controlling narrow side which is freely accessible from the outside for selectively conveying a pressure medium between the pressure medium channels. A recess having at least two surfaces in the baseplate element cooperates in a corresponding manner with the valve element such that the pressure medium connections arranged on at least one surface of the recess are connected flush with the pressure medium connections of the valve element when the valve element is inserted.

  • Patent number: 5273074
Abstract: A casing bore (29) running parallel to a valve center longitudinal axis (5), with cross bores is furnished at a second longitudinal side of a multifunction multiport slider valve with a valve casing, with a sealed connector plane (3) furnished at a first longitudinal side (2) for supply lines, control lines, user lines and ventilation lines, and with a corresponding support plate. In order to increase the number of functions performed by the multiport slider valve and to easily adjust said slider valve, the casing bore (29) is subdivided into two longitudinal sections (29a, 29b) with individual cross bores (30). Turnable and displaceable sealing discs (32), furnished with openings (33), are disposed in front of the joined ports (31) of the cross bore (30), and cross channels (36), and connected to the pressure line (P), the control line (Z, X), the ventilation lines (R or S) are led starting from the longitudinal side (2) into the two separate longitudinal sections (29a, 29b) of the casing fore (29).

  • Patent number: 5236017
Abstract: A modular distributing valve includes a valve body within which an actuating member is displaceably arranged along a longitudinal axis of the valve body. A pair of control housings lying opposite each other on the axis for actuating the actuating member are arranged in the valve body. The valve body is a tub-shaped base body which can be closed by a flat cover and is provided with ISO gas connection openings on the side opposite the cover. In order to achieve ease of assembly and eliminate the need for sealing elements around the actuating member and the switched fluid paths in the modular distributing valve, the control housings are detachably connected to the cover and are inserted with a mechanical interference fit forming a seal and fixed in place in the valve body, together with the actuating member, from the side of the valve body opposite the gas connections.

  • Patent number: 5207246
Abstract: A valve for fluids exhibits a valve casing (1) with a sealed valve element (2) movable into various switching positions, as well as connections (3) through (6) for operating lines, pressure lines, vent lines, and the like. The valve is furnished with sealing rings (7) forming a valve seat (19) in the individual switching position in each case together with the peripheral faces of the valve casing (1). The valve is of a simplest construction for a large number of switching positions and for different numbers of switching positions with short switching times and with a smallest possible number of parts. At least one sealing ring (7) is coordinated to the rotary-driven valve element (2). The sealing ring (7) is in each case disposed in a plane (9), running at an angle relative to the rotation axis (8). A disk (11) or an axial body are disposed in the same plane (9) defined by the sealing ring.

  • Patent number: 5054517
Abstract: A one-way restrictor is provided which is configured like a lip valve and includes a bypass flow channel. The bypass flow channel is formed by an at least one opening which is located between an intake and an outlet and can be covered, at least partially, by the sealing element of the valve. By way of a control member the sealing element can be moved relative to the opening in such a way that the cross-section of the opening covered by the sealing element can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4966196
Abstract: A servo-operated multiway valve is disclosed which can be optionally used as both a pressurization valve and a ventilation valve for use with a fluid consuming device. The valve utilizes a valve body to allow fluid communication alternatively between two inlet/vent fluid chambers and an outlet fluid chamber disposed along a central bore, in which the valve body is located. The device utilizes a servo to displace the valve body of the multiway valve. Fluid may be introduced to the valve through either of two inlet/vent chambers, to alternatively allow fluid to flow to the outlet chamber in the resting or the activated mode of the servo. The servo is in fludi communication with the selected inlet chamber at all times, and does not communicate with the selected vent chamber. This is achieved through the use of dual passages, connecting each of the inlet/vent chambers to the servo. Fluid flows from the appropriate inlet chamber to the servo, through the associated passage.

  • Patent number: 4630800
Abstract: A sealing arrangement, which can be inserted into a recess formed in a valve housing, to effectively provide a fluid pressure seal between at least one input chamber and one output chamber, and in which a slide piston is movably-disposed in the recess. The sealing arrangement includes a first gasket and a second gasket, which are disposed in coaxial relationship to one another, and which are concentric to the recess of the valve housing. The two gaskets are connected to one another by means of elastic annular connecting pieces. The connecting pieces of the two gaskets are located between a plurality of apertured retaining elements, which have a portion of the end surfaces of projections in contact with the connecting pieces. A plurality of rivet members pass through the apertured retaining elements and the connection pieces to hold them in the form of a sealing cartridge.
