  • Publication number: 20230389666
Abstract: A standing parasol has a parasol mast (2) and an actuating device (4) arranged thereon, which actuating device cooperates with a connecting organ (6) for moving a parasol part. The actuating device comprises a hand crank device (8) with an associated crank handle (10) which is rotatable about a substantially horizontal crank axis of rotation (A) and is coupled to the connecting organ (6), wherein the crank handle (10) is formed in two parts with an inner handle portion (12) which is arranged substantially transversely to the crank axis of rotation (A), and with an outer handle portion (14) which is pivotable with respect to the inner handle portion (12) between a substantially coaxial resting position and an angled functional position about a handle pivot axis (G). In the functional position, the hand crank device (8) can be brought into rotational engagement with the connecting organ (6), whereas in the resting position, the hand crank device (8) is rotationally disengaged from the connecting organ (6).

  • Publication number: 20230389665
Abstract: A standing parasol has a parasol crown (2), on which a plurality of canopy struts (4) for an overlying canopy (6) are arranged in an articulated manner radiating about a parasol crown axis (A) and which are supported and connected by means of associated supporting struts (8) via a respective hinge (10). Each hinge (10) comprises a hinge ball (12) connected to the canopy strut (4) which is received in an associated hinge socket (14) terminally arranged on the support strut (8). The hinge socket (14) comprises a socket slot (16) which allows pivoting of the support strut (8) in a predetermined pivoting angle range in an associated pivoting plane.

  • Publication number: 20200397103
Abstract: A free arm standing parasol comprises a mast, on which an arm with its end of the arm facing towards mast is guided extendably and retractably via a mast slide and is thereby held by a supporting element between the arm and mast while the end of the arm facing away from the mast carries a parasol part with a crown, the parasol part comprising main struts which are radially hinged to the crown and associated supporting struts which are hinged to a corresponding main strut and a parasol slider. The parasol part is connected, via actuating organs, to a drive unit at the mast, a first actuating organ being connected to the mast slide via first deflection rollers for moving the mast slide up and down across a first functional distance, and a second actuating organ being coupled to the actuating organ via an action coupling and being connected to the parasol slider via second deflection rollers for moving the parasol slider across a second functional distance.

  • Publication number: 20160289997
Abstract: In a protection roof, particularly a sun and weather protection roof, it s aimed to ensure that the roof when not in use can be packed together in a compact manner within the outline of the opened roof by effecting a closing movement, whereby the fabric sheet can be folded with parallel folding lines, and to furthermore allow actuating the hinge also when the roof is in a folded state. To this end, it is proposed that the support rod (22) is disposed rotatably and slidably, but also lockably, within a mount (20) comprising a hinge on the standing rod (4). Moreover, the tensioning struts (26, 26a) are articulately attached pairwise with one end thereof to a slide (28) and carry the flexible protecting surface (32) at their outer end. Supporting struts (24, 24a) are articulately attached to a central portion of the tensioning struts (26, 26a) and to the ends (22a) of the support rod.

  • Publication number: 20160262507
Abstract: A sun and weather protection device having fewer individual parts, a stronger clamping force and an operation which is as easy as possible and requiring only a single operating element (e.g. a clamping screw) for all adjustment directions, it is proposed to adopt a hinge combination comprising two hinge halves with rotating disks and integrated gripper clamps.

  • Patent number: 4836111
Abstract: A system for moving a robot manipulator being mounted on a carriage over a track system which includes a pair of rail carriers for rails and being interconnected to extend parallel to each other in spaced apart relationship; a carrier carriage runs on these rails with unequally large rollers and the manipulator carriage runs on a rail on the carrier carriage; all of the rails are mounted by means of a plurality of nonstraightness compensating support bars being adjustably bolted to the rail carriers, at least two per carrier, as well as on the carrier carriage and in aligned relationship as to each carrier to establish straight rail mounting facilities.

  • Patent number: 4304187
Abstract: A monorail system having a rail surface that is provided for small vehicles traversing an incline or slippery areas, with the surface having a plurality of spaced recesses positioned in those areas to form gripping edges for the drive wheels of the vehicles. The recesses may be of a variety of shapes and positioned in different ways to provide the proper grip. The recesses may be mechanically punched into a separate elongated flat bed riveted in appropriate locations to the rail. The punching may be done in such a way so as to form raised ramp-like edges adjacent the recesses to help with the gripping action. The ramp faces face downwardly in inclined areas. The drive wheels of cooperating vehicles may have elastic treads to help with the gripping action.

  • Patent number: 4121702
Abstract: An emergency brake mechanism is provided, particularly for small railway cars such as those used for monorail systems, for braking a car released by failure of the motor and main braking system. The brake mechanism includes a brake shoe with tapered surfaces extending in opposite directions longitudinally of the path of movement of the car for wedging a brake pad between the shoe and the rail surface. The brake pad is pushed into engagement by a movable tappet, which in turn is released to move toward the rail surface by a centrifugal governor monitoring the speed of the car. The brake housing mounts the brake shoe on one side of the rail with a counter-brake surface on the opposite side.
