  • Patent number: 10087047
Abstract: A door system for an elevator installation having an elevator car with a car door arranged to travel in an elevator shaft with shaft doors, wherein the car door is spaced from the shaft doors in a closed position of the door system. A primary pivot spindle is coupled to a pivotable door leaf of the shaft door or the car door and a secondary pivot spindle is coupled to a pivotable door leaf of the other of the car door and the shaft door. A drive unit includes a driven, pivotably mounted shaft to which a first entrainer and a second entrainer are fixed. During a pivoting movement of the shaft, the first entrainer engages a first counterpart element on the primary pivot spindle and the second entrainer engages a second counterpart element on the secondary pivot spindle to effect a pivoting movement of the door leaves.

  • Publication number: 20020065183
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for folding sheets (2), in particular printed sheets. A sheet (2) which is fed in a state in which it lies horizontally in a feed plane (7) is fed to at least two incipient-folding rollers (4) by a rectilinear knife (6), which can be moved perpendicularly to the feed plane (7), and is received between the incipient-folding rollers (4) in order to form a fold (8). The sheet is then conveyed away in the direction of the fold without being completely closed. The sheets are conveyed away by at least two removal rollers (5), by means of which the fold is also completed. The sheets are advantageously folded and conveyed away in one process step in the case of the invention, an additional opening step prior to the further processing of the sheet being dispensed with.

  • Patent number: 5957449
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for conveying a stream of printed products. The printed products are first conveyed along a first conveyor loop in a position in which they are oriented essentially tangentially to the conveying direction, and are transferred to a second conveyor loop. To facilitate the transfer, the printed products are brought into a transfer position, in which at least one region of each printed product is oriented at an angle to the tangential orientation.

  • Patent number: 5950511
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and an arrangement for handling printed products by making an edge cut with the aid of a cutter. The printed products in this case are supplied to the cutter by grippers that circulate along a first conveying loop, and the edge area to be cut on the printed products positioned in the grippers is stabilized by clamping braces that can be placed against the printed products in the range of the cutter. After the edge cut is made, the printed products with the grippers are disengaged from the clamping braces and discharged.

  • Patent number: 5832799
Abstract: A device is provided for trimming an edge of printed products which are fed continuously at regular distances to a conveying arrangement. The conveying arrangement includes circulating, pocket-like conveying units that are loaded from above with printed products. The edges of the printed products project at the conveying units so that the edges extend through a cutting arrangement laterally disposed at the conveying arrangement and including a blade. A support arrangement includes a shoulder disposed on a rear side of the printed product relative to the blade. The support arrangement is set back from the projecting edge of the printed product and is disposed opposite the blade during the cutting process. The support arrangement is movable into position at least approximately over a length of a cut by the blade and is driven in the same direction and at the same cadence as the printed products that are fed to the cutting arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5810345
Abstract: An apparatus for processing folded printed sheets includes a work station for processing the folded printed sheets and a conveying device driven with a transporting movement in a direction along a conveying path that is arranged alongside the work station. Saddle-shaped supports are attached to the conveying device and have supporting edges on which the printed sheets can be supported respectively along their fold by straddling the supporting edge of the respective saddle-shaped support. The saddle-shaped supports are conveyed along the conveying path so that the supporting edges are positioned transverse to the conveying path at a distance to each other and move successively past the work station which cooperates with the saddle-shaped supports respectively while the saddle-shaped supports are transported past the work station.

  • Patent number: 5658422
Abstract: A device for processing printed sheets and for feeding processed printed sheets to a machine for further processing the processed printed sheets. The device includes a feeder for separating the printed sheets from a stack of printed sheets and for conveying the printed sheets. The device also includes a conveying device disposed downstream of the feeder for conveying the printed sheets to the machine, and a conveying element disposed between the feeder and the conveying device for conveying and processing the printed sheets. The conveying element is driven to convey the printed sheets in a similar conveying direction and at a similar clock pulse as the feeder and the conveying device.
