Publication number: 20220087786Abstract: An occlusal screw for a two-part dental implant system with an anchoring part and an abutment includes a screw head and a screw shank. The screw head apically forms a screw stop. The occlusal screw consists of a ceramic material and has an engagement portion with an outer structure that is not rotationally symmetrical about the screw axis, is cylindrical or conical at least in regions and is suitable for interacting with a corresponding inner structure in a distal recess of a screwing tool, in order to couple the occlusal screw onto the screwing tool in a rotationally fixed manner. A design concerning which the engagement portion occlusally includes a cylindrical region and apically thereof a clamping region, which continuously widens in the apical direction, is particularly advantageous. The clamping region can be for example conical.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2020Publication date: March 24, 2022Inventors: Ernst Thomke, Claude Theubet

Publication number: 20210361393Abstract: A dental implant for implantation in the jawbone for the purpose of fastening a superstructure. The implant includes an implant body that extends between a coronal and an apical end and which defines an enossal outer surface. The implant body defines a cavity that is open coronally as well as at least one exit opening from an inside to the enossal outer surface. An outer thread is shaped on the implant body. A thermoplastic element is moreover present in the solid condition and is arranged in the cavity or introducible into the cavity, wherein the thermoplastic element can be brought into an at least partly flowable condition by way of applying a pressing force, which is directed apically into the cavity, and mechanical oscillations and can be pressed through the at least one exit opening into surrounding tissue on account of the pressing force.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2021Publication date: November 25, 2021Inventor: Ernst Thomke

Publication number: 20210068931Abstract: A dental implant includes an implant body with a coronally open cavity and at least one exit opening from an inside to the enossal outer surface. A thermoplastic element in the solid state is arranged in the cavity, and is brought into an at least partly flowable condition by applying a pressing force directed apically into the cavity, and mechanical oscillations. A portion of the flowable material of the thermoplastic element is pressed through the exit opening into surrounding bone tissue, when the implant body is arranged in an opening in the bone tissue and the enossal outer surface is in contact with the bone tissue. A re-solidification of the thermoplastic material after discontinuing the vibrations causes an anchoring through the connection between interpenetrated tissue and the implant body via the thermoplastic material penetrating both.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2020Publication date: March 11, 2021Inventors: Ernst Thomke, Jörg Mayer

Publication number: 20190290404Abstract: A dental implant system includes an anchoring part of a ceramic material and an insertion tool. The anchoring part includes an outer thread that defines an axis. The anchoring part has a recess for an engagement of a fastening post of an abutment as well as for an engagement of an insertion tool, the recess being open towards the coronal end. The recess has an inner structure region with an inner structure that forms an insertion geometry for interacting with a corresponding outer structure of the insertion tool, and the insertion tool has an engagement portion with the corresponding outer structure. The recess forms a support region coronally of the inner structure region, wherein a transition region with a surface which in the longitudinal section is concavely arcuate and/or conical is formed between the support region and the inner structure region.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2019Publication date: September 26, 2019Inventor: Ernst Thomke

Publication number: 20190290403Abstract: A dental implant system includes an anchoring part of a ceramic material for anchoring in bone tissue, an abutment of ceramic material, and an abutment screw. The anchoring part has a recess that is open towards a coronal end for engagement of a fastening post of the abutment. The abutment has an opening that is continuous in the axial direction and into which the abutment screw can be inserted. The abutment screw is configured, for a fastening of the abutment to the anchoring part, to engage into an inner thread that is formed on the anchoring part in the recess or is present on an insert element that is inserted into the recess. The abutment screw has a screw head, and a shoulder, which is formed coronally and which together with the screw head forms a stop on inserting the screw into the opening, is present in the opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2019Publication date: September 26, 2019Inventor: Ernst Thomke
