  • Publication number: 20230361110
Abstract: An electro-static discharge (ESD) protection system for a wireless transceiver comprises a switch circuit at a first terminal and a second terminal of a low noise amplifier; a primary ESD protection circuit between an input terminal and a low voltage supply terminal of the wireless transceiver for shunting a first source of current of an ESD event; a clamp element between a high voltage supply terminal and the low voltage supply terminal having a clamping voltage that is less than a breakdown voltage of the LNA for preventing a second source of current of the ESD event from receipt by the LNA; and a power supply ESD clamp element between the high voltage supply terminal and the low voltage supply terminal for shunting a third source of current of the ESD event at the high voltage supply terminal.

  • Publication number: 20230176103
Abstract: It is described an attenuation measurement device (100), comprising: i) a detector unit (110) having a coupling capacitance (120), and an input capacitance (130), wherein the detector unit (110) is configured to produce a detector output signal (112a,b) in reply to an input signal received at the coupling capacitance (120) and/or at the input capacitance (130); ii) a test unit (140), coupled to the detector unit (110), and configured to provide a test signal (141) with at least one known signal property as a first input signal to the coupling capacitance (120); iii) a calibration unit (150), coupled to the detector unit (110), and configured to provide a calibration signal (151) as a second input signal to the input capacitance (130); and iv) a control unit configured to a) determine a first detector output signal (112a) produced by the detector unit (110) in response to the test signal (141), b) identify a specific calibration signal (151) that yields a second detector output signal (112b) that is compa

  • Patent number: 11372095
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to injection locking and related apparatuses. As may be implemented in accordance with one or more embodiments, an apparatus includes a plurality of injection-locking circuits configured to receive an injection signal, each injection-locking circuit including a mixer and a lock-detection circuit. In each of the injection-locking circuits, the lock-detection circuit detects a lock-status relationship between the injection signal and a signal output from the injection-locking circuit. In response to the lock-status relationship indicating an unlocked condition, a phase/magnitude of the injection signal is adjusted. In response to the lock-status relationship indicating a locked condition, transmission of an FM continuous wave (FMCW) chirp signal is facilitated.

  • Publication number: 20090219785
Abstract: Method for determining the location and/or speed of at least one swimmer, swimming through water, comprising: —sending acoustic signals through the water, using stationary acoustic transmitter means (AT) having a stationary position, or using mobile acoustic transmitter means (AT?) being carried by said swimmer (S); —receiving the acoustic signals using mobile acoustic receiver means (AR) being carried by said swimmer (S), or using stationary acoustic receiver means (AR?) respectively; —determining the time difference between the time of sending and the time of receiving each acoustic signal; —determining a location and/or speed of said swimmer (S) with respect to said stationary transmitter means (AT) or stationary receiver means (AR?), using said time differences and a predetermined propagation speed of the acoustic signal through the water.
