  • Patent number: 8246111
Abstract: The invention relates to a wind deflector for a roof opening, which can be closed and opened, in a roof panel of a vehicle. According to the invention it is contemplated that an elastic element, which is fixed with respect to the frame of the roof opening, engages on the wind deflector arm and applies a force thereon in of the longitudinal direction, and an arm, which at one end is connected to the wind deflector arm rotatably about the transverse direction, is mounted at the other end rotatably with respect to the frame of the roof opening in of the transverse direction. The invention further relates to a method for actuating a wind deflector.

  • Patent number: 6648406
Abstract: A mechanism for a wind deflector of a motor vehicle roof is provided which includes a raising lever which is moved in a raising direction by means of a spring. A displacement of a back edge of the wind deflector in a lengthwise direction is balanced during the swiveling motion by means of a compensation device. A spring is used directly as the compensation device.

  • Patent number: 6568750
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof with at least one cover (12) which can be moved above the fixed motor vehicle roof (13) and which can be raised at its rear edge (46), and with a control mechanism for the cover (12) which has a front lifting mechanism and a front displacement mechanism for the front edge (45) of the cover (12) and a rear lifting mechanism and a rear displacement mechanism for the rear edge (46) of the cover (12). The displacement mechanisms have control carriages (18, 19) which are connected to the cover (12) and which are movably guided and can be driven in lateral guide rails (17). The lifting mechanism for the front edge (45) of the cover (12) is integrated into the front control carriage (18) and the front and the rear control carriages (18 and 19) are securely connected on each side of the cover, spaced apart from one another, to a drive cable (21) so as to be driven by the drive cable.

  • Patent number: 6547320
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof (1) with a sealing system for a support lever (11) in which a pair of seals (14, 15) adjoin one another at their sealing surfaces so as to cover the support lever (11) form above in a lowered position of the lever and are pressed to the side by the support lever (11) when it is moved into a raised support position. The use of a pair of seals instead of a single seal reduces and the seals (14, 15) are preferably hollow chamber seals.

  • Patent number: 6158803
Abstract: A vehicle sun roof with a cover (3) intended to cover a roof opening (5) when in the closed position and to be both pushed upwards at its rear edge so as to be at least in the aeration position, and elevated relative to its closed position so as to be at least in the open position. Furthermore, the vehicle roof has a cover elevating and displacing device (3) along at least one guide integrated to the roof, which has also a bearing device extending from the rear edge area of the cover. In order for the roof to have a more stable bearing when in the open position and to keep, at the same time, the same smooth appearance as in the closed position, a bearing device (43) is provided which has an inactive position at or below the cover level (3).
