  • Publication number: 20090073696
Abstract: A dimming device for a searchlight for adjusting the brightness of a light field generated by a searchlight is provided. The dimming device comprising a plurality of different screening elements, which are formed and provided to partly or completely screen the light emitted by the searchlight. The screening elements are formed by different structured masks at least partly screening the light emitted by the searchlight, which include regularly arranged opaque or partly transparent regions and transparent regions. Means each are provided for incremental adjustment of the brightness of the generated light field of the searchlight either to bring the screening elements into the region of the light emitted by the searchlight, in order to reduce the brightness of the light field generated by one brightness level, or to remove the same from the region of the light emitted by the searchlight, in order to increase the brightness of the light field generated by one brightness level.

  • Publication number: 20090068877
Abstract: An apparatus for making electrical contact with luminous means in spotlights, which contain a glass vessel, a luminous means base and contact pins for the power supply is provided. The apparatus comprising a luminous means holder with at least two socket pairs for accommodating the contact pins of different luminous means. The socket pairs are arranged in clamping pieces, whose mutually opposite connecting faces can be removed from one another in order to accommodate the contact pins of the luminous means and can be guided towards one another in order to make electrical contact with the contact pins of the luminous means.

  • Publication number: 20090027890
Abstract: A projector is provided. The projector comprising a projector housing in which there are arranged an illuminant holder, for holding an illuminant, a reflector that reflects the light beams emitted by the illuminant to a light exit opening of the projector housing that is covered by a transparent disk, and a convective cooling device, partially enclosing the illuminant, that produces a convection flow for dissipating the heat output by the illuminant and has a number of cooling fins combined into cooling fin packs. The cooling fins are aligned parallel to the radiating direction of the projector, and the cooling fin packs are arranged above and below the illuminant in the direction of gravity.

  • Publication number: 20080310175
Abstract: An illuminating spotlight having a spotlight housing and a spotlight device connected to the spotlight housing, in particular a protective screen, spotlight lens or reflector, is provided. The lateral edge of the spotlight device is connected to the spotlight housing via spring elements arranged in a distributed fashion. The spring elements having a fastening lug that is connected to the spotlight housing and from which there are angled away two spring arms which bear against the lateral edge of the spotlight device and are designed to be resilient in a radial direction of the spotlight housing. Spring stops of resilient design are project in an axial direction of the spotlight housing which bear against at least one surface of the spotlight device from the spring arms.

  • Publication number: 20080198605
Abstract: Disclosed is a projector comprising a lamp and a reflector which reflects the light beams emitted by the lamp towards a light output hole of the projector. The position of the reflector and the lamp relative to each other can be modified, the distribution of the light that is output being adjustable by displacing the reflector and/or the lamp. The reflector is provided with facets which embody a reflective surface to reflect the light beams emitted by the lamp. The surface shape of said facets is designed such that the light beams generate a luminous field which has a desired light distribution and whose light beam width can be adjusted within a large range by displacing the reflector and/or the lamp.

  • Publication number: 20060152933
Abstract: Disclosed is an illumination device comprising at least one electrical planar lamp module that is provided with a module housing, the depth of which is small compared to the light-emitting area of the planar lamp module. Said planar lamp module can be connected to other planar lamp modules. The module housing encompasses a lamp housing and a lamp frame which is connected to the lamp housing and is provided with means for mechanically connecting the lamp frame to the lamp frame of at least one additional planar lamp module.

  • Patent number: 6875042
Abstract: A holder for a lamp with a glass vessel and a lamp base includes at least one spring element and at least one connecting part which can move relative to the spring element between two positions. In the first position the locking part thereby enters into contact with the spring element to that this is blocked and pressed against the lamp base of a lamp inserted in the bushing of the holder. In the second position the locking part exerts no or only reduced pressure on the spring element.

  • Publication number: 20040115979
Abstract: The invention relates to lamp holder comprising a glass vessel and a base, particularly for a discharge lamp. The holder comprises a bushing for receiving the base and a means for locking the base into the bushing. The locking means comprises at least one spring element (2) and at least one locking part (3) which can be displaced between a first and a second position relative to the spring element (2). In the first position, the contact locking part (3) enters into the spring element (2) in such a manner that said spring element is placed under tension and is pressed against the base of a lamp disposed in the bushing (12). In the second position, the spring element (2) is exposed to either no pressure or to a reduced amount thereof. According to the invention, it is possible to position a lamp in a precise position in the holder even during the transportation and operation thereof.
