Abstract: A portable electronic apparatus includes guide areas associated one-to-one with preselected keys arranged on a key input section and displays, in each of consecutive operation steps, guidance information representative of items which can be selected by the user in the above guide areas. This successfully guides the user of the apparatus to an adequate operating method without resorting to key names heretofore displayed to show correspondence between operation items and keys. The apparatus is therefore practicable with a minimum display size.

Abstract: A display lighting apparatus is disclosed, that comprises a first storing means for storing date information, a second storing means for storing color information correlated with the date information, a displaying means for displaying information, a lighting means for lighting said displaying means, and a controlling means for searching said first storing means for input date information, and when desired date information is obtained, reading color information correlated with the date information from said second storing means, and causing said lighting means to light corresponding to the color information.

Abstract: There is provided a device used in a telephone terminal including a dial memory storing at least one address and a plurality of dial data associated with the address, for retrieving one of the dial data, an identifier being assigned to each one of the dial data, the identifier being comprised of a number in accordance with which the dial data is arranged, the device, on receipt of both a first signal indicative of the identifier and an aural signal indicative of the address, retrieving the dial data in accordance with the received first and aural signals, reading out dial data identified by the first and aural signals, and displaying the thus read-out dial data in a display screen. The device makes it possible to retrieve a target dial number more readily and in a shorter period of time than a conventional device.

Abstract: First pixel electrodes and scan signal electrodes are formed in the same plane, and the first pixel electrodes and video signal electrodes are insulated and separated from each other by gate SiN films. Additional capacitors are formed by second pixel electrodes which are connected to the first pixel electrodes through apertures formed in the gate SiN films and which may be cut by a laser beam, and the scan signal electrodes. Thus, a short circuit defect between the electrodes is prevented, a highly reliable additional capacitor is attained, break of wiring is reduced and an aperture factor can be improved by expanding a width of the first pixel electrode. Thus, a multi-tonality and highly fine liquid crystal display device can be manufactured with a high yield.
