  • Patent number: 5587531
Abstract: An acceleration sensor includes an acceleration detecting element (15) for detecting an acceleration in a sealed case (11), silicon oil (16) with which the case (11) is filled for giving damping to the acceleration detecting element (15), and a deformable sealed enclosure (20) which is mounted in the case (11) and is filled with gas. A change in volume of the silicon oil (16) caused by a change in temperature of the silicon oil (16) is counteracted by the deformation of the sealed enclosure (20). The deformation of the sealed enclosure may include variations in the height and pitch of wave shapes defined by a diaphragm portion of the sealed enclosure.

  • Patent number: 5351542
Abstract: An acceleration sensor assembly is shown, which comprises a base board; a ceramic plate bonded to the base board, the ceramic plate having predetermined circuits printed thereon; an operational amplifier in the shape of Silicon-chip, the amplifier being mounted on the ceramic plate; an acceleration sensor proper mounted on the ceramic plate, the sensor proper being of a piezoresistance semiconductor type; a first group of bonding wires through which the operational amplifier and the circuits are connected; and a second group of bonding wires through which the acceleration sensor proper and the circuits are connected. In order to facilitate the bonding connection of the bonding wires to their associated parts, the bonding wires of the first and second groups are identical in diameter.

  • Patent number: 4760333
Abstract: A meter of the type having crossed coils, comprises an outer body having a cylindrical wall surrounding the coils, and an insert of an amorphous metal alloy that is disposed in a cylindrical bore defined by the wall. The insert surrounds the coils and is formed by rolling a strip of plate made of amorphous metal alloy. This construction provides an effective magnetic shield.

  • Patent number: 4493988
Abstract: In a highly compact odometer an electric motor which drives a mechanical display thereof, is disposed within the set of annular figure wheels used in the display and drivingly connected to said wheels through a worm and worm wheel drive train. In the case of integrated "total" and "trip" odometers a multipole rotor having a torque capacity adequate for driving both odometers is disposed within the set of figure wheels used for the "total" odometer display while the coil is disposed within the "trip" odometer set. Yokes extend between the sets of wheels to provide a magnetic connection between the coil and rotor. To prevent reversing of the odometer and gear chatter in the drive train a one-way clutch type bearing is used to support the output shaft of the electric motor.
