  • Patent number: 9958360
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology relate to an energy audit device configured for identifying one or more sources of thermal energy loss. In some implementation, the audit device includes one or more processors, a memory coupled to the processors, a location module coupled to the processors, and one or more environmental sensors. In practice, the processors can be configured to perform various operations including: receiving a first set of environmental measurements, receiving a second set of environmental measurements, and identifying one or more thermal energy leaks at a building location based on the first and second sets of environmental measurements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 5, 2015
Date of Patent: May 1, 2018
    Assignee: OPOWER, INC.
Inventors: Arjun Dasgupta, Brian Preston, Niklas Philipsen, Euan Davidson, Jared Culp, Matt Greenfield

  • Publication number: 20160090668
Abstract: An absorbent string comprising of a plurality of absorbent products. Each product has a tubular envelope. In use, the string is placed by the side of an appliance such as a freezer, whereby moisture from the appliance on the floor can pass through the envelope and be absorbed by the absorbent material. Each product has opposite ends that are complementarily shaped and are abutting with ends of adjacent products to form the absorbent string. The products have an elongate chevron shape. Each product has a double skin bottom and a single, folded top skin. Moisture on the floor can pass through the outer skin by capillary action into the product through the bottom. The absorbent material extends into the head and tail ends and up to the sealed periphery.

  • Patent number: 6888120
Abstract: A dual-channel sunload sensor capable of sensing the intensity and directionality of the solar radiative power entering the cabin of a car through the windshield, for the purpose of providing information to the data processing system of the car that enables a control of the air conditioning system that optimizes the comfort of the driver and of the front passenger. Signals from the sensor offer reliable indications of the solar load power and directionality for a wide range of angular positions of the sun. The sensor includes two convex transparent parts collecting light each toward a respective photodiode, the transparent parts being separated by an opaque portion.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 3, 2005
    Assignee: Silonex Inc.
