Abstract: A pillow is provided herein which includes a cover having opposing first and second panels. A gusset perimetrically bounds, and joins, the first and second panels. The gusset is formed of an open cell construction. Compliant fill material is disposed within the cover. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a pillow is provided allowing for lateral ventilation between opposing panels. This permits a cooling effect while a user is resting or sleeping.

Abstract: A pillowcase includes a top panel and an opposite bottom panel. The top panel has three sides that are joined with three sides of the bottom panel such that inner surfaces of the top and bottom panels that face one another define a cavity configured for disposal of a pillow. Fourth sides of the top and bottom panels are not joined with one another and define an opening that is in communication with the cavity. A power band extends across the opening to prevent a pillow that is positioned within the cavity from slipping out of the pillowcase unintentionally and/or to prevent a pillow that is positioned within the cavity from shifting within the cavity.

Abstract: A bedding system includes a box layer having a duct and an inlet. The duct has a passageway that is in communication with the inlet. A capacitor layer includes a cavity that is in communication with the passageway. A mattress layer includes a bottom surface and a top surface that defines a sleep surface. A hole extends through the top and bottom surfaces and is in communication with the cavity. A central vacuum system includes a power unit, a pipe having a first end that is connected to the power unit and a second end connected to an outlet and a hose having a first end that is connected to the outlet and a second end that is connected to the at least one inlet.

Abstract: A bed frame is provided that includes a lower frame and an upper frame having a first section, a second section and a third section. The second section is positioned between the first section and the third section. The first section is pivotable relative to the lower frame. The third section is fixed relative to the lower frame. The second section is pivotable relative to the first section and the third section. A lifting assembly includes a first end that is coupled to the lower frame and a second end that is coupled to the second section. The lifting assembly is configured to selectively move the second section toward and away from the lower frame.

Abstract: A system is provided for marketing bedding. The system includes a plurality of air velocity displays each having a body defining a chamber and an opening that is in communication with the chamber, an air flow generator positioned within the chamber, and a sample material that covers the opening such that air flow created by the air flow generator passes through the sample material. The system includes plurality of selection modules. The selection modules each having a user interface that is in communication with one of the air velocity displays such that engaging a feature of one of the user interfaces will cause one of the air flow generators to move from an off position to an on position to create airflow. Methods of use are provided.

Abstract: A dispenser for pillow napkins is provided that includes a carton having a bottom panel, opposite left and right panels extending vertically from the bottom panel, opposite front and back panels positioned between the left and right panels and extending vertically from the bottom panel, and a top panel extending parallel to the bottom panel. Left and right supports are positioned within a cavity of the carton. A plurality of pillow napkins are wound about a spool. The spool is positioned in the cavity such that the spool rotatably engages the left and right supports and the pillow napkins are spaced apart from the top and bottom panels. Methods of use are provided.

Abstract: A pillow cover is provided that includes a first panel and a second panel perimetrically joined with the first panel such that inner surfaces of the first and second panels define a cavity having a void volume. The first and second panels are each made from a first material. An opening extends through the inner surface of the first panel and an outer surface of the first panel. The pillow cover includes a patch covering the opening. The patch is made from a second material that is different than the first material.

Abstract: In one aspect, a system and method are provided herein in support of selecting bedding. The system includes a plurality of differently configured pillows; and, a plurality of pillow cover napkins each configured to rest upon one of the pillows in acting as a cleanliness barrier for a person's head resting on the pillow. Advantageously, the system allows for a user to sample various bedding, including mattresses and/or pillows, in a hygienic manner. In particular, the system allows for a user to select a pillow from the differently configured pillows which is suited to one's preferences to use in sampling various mattresses. The napkin is placed by the user atop the selected pillow in sampling the mattresses. The napkin acts as a cleanliness barrier between the user's head and the sampled bedding. A person's comfort level in sampling mattresses and/or pillows may be heightened in this manner.

Abstract: A mattress assembly includes a chassis having top and bottom walls and first and second sidewalls that each extend from the top wall to the bottom wall. Inner surfaces of the walls and the sidewalls define an interior cavity. The top and bottom walls each include a first section that is connected to the first sidewall and a second section that is connected to the second sidewall such that the first sections are pivotable relative to the first sidewall and the second sections are pivotable relative to the second sidewall. The first section of the top wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the top wall and the first section of the bottom wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the bottom wall. A spring assembly is configured to be positioned within the interior cavity.

The side and end panels each have a lower edge that is spaced apart from the top panel. At least one of the corners includes a power band having a first side that extends from a portion of the lower edge of one of the end panels to one of the seams. A second side of the power band extends from a portion of the lower edge of one of the side panels to the one of the seams. A third side of the power band extends from the portion of the lower edge of the one of the end panels to the portion of the lower edge of the one of the side panels.
