  • Patent number: 7018289
Abstract: A damper assembly is provided having at least one damper blade that operates in a normally open position. A fusible link is connected to the damper blade to maintain the damper blade in the open position against a biasing force tending to close the damper blade. The fusible link fails upon an occurrence of a predetermined condition. A damper mechanism is provided including a locking mechanism linked to the damper blade that resists opening of the damper blade when the blade has closed due to failure of the fusible link.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 2003
Date of Patent: March 28, 2006
    Assignee: Greenheck Fan Corporation

  • Patent number: 6547289
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improved drawer latch mechanism, particularly suited for attaching to the front side of a drawer. The drawer front latch preferably has a handle with a full-length grip that is sufficiently large so that it may be operated while wearing gloves, holding a towel or other types of hand coverings. The handle is used to open and close the drawer such that the action of pulling on the handle to open the drawer releases spring-loaded latches biased to be in a locked position. Pushing the drawer closed causes catch surfaces of tapered leading ends of the latch to engage with drawer mounting walls of the cabinet and latch the drawer closed.

  • Patent number: 5238453
Abstract: A damper blade is constructed with a laterally extending, rounded rib and with integral journals on opposite ends of the rib that form bearing surfaces when the blade is journaled in openings in the frame of a damper assembly. The construction provides for convenient manufacturing from a blank without the addition of hardware for mounting the blade in a damper assembly.
