Another embodiment of the invention uses a virtual desktop shared from a remote server to ensure that an inmate does not have access to prohibited applications or content during a virtual visitation session.

Each subject within the facility has an information tag attached thereto that contains subject identification information. A plurality of information tag readers in communication with the data server are located throughout the facility.
