  • Patent number: 8848687
Abstract: A method for transmitting information on an uplink timing group includes performing RACH procedures with user equipment for a preset period of time to generate an uplink timing group, and transmitting, to the user equipment, a message including information on the configuration of the thus-generated uplink timing group, wherein said uplink timing group is a group of one or more component carriers to which identical uplink timing correction is applied.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: September 30, 2014
    Assignee: Pantech Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Kibum Kwon, Myungcheul Jung, Eun Kyoung Ko
  • Patent number: 8780860
Abstract: A method of receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) in a wireless communication system supporting multiple component carriers by a base station is provided. The method includes determining periodic SRS (P-SRS) transmission or aperiodic SRS (A-SRS) transmission about at least one serving cell (SCell) to be configured for a user equipment (UE), transmitting a triggering message including an activation or deactivation of the at least one SCell and indicating information for the A-SRS transmission according to the determination, and receiving an A-SRS from the UE through an activated SCell from among the at least one SCell configured in the UE. Uplink scheduling for an additional secondary serving cell and data communication through the uplink scheduling can be performed rapidly, as compared with a scheme using only a periodic SRS.

  • Publication number: 20130064131
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for transmitting power information by a mobile station in a multiple component carrier system includes: obtaining power headroom that is a difference between maximum transmit power of a mobile station for each component carrier and power estimated for actual uplink transmission; configuring an identification field that identifies a component carrier that the power headroom is for; configuring power headroom fields that indicates a level of power headroom; and generating a medium access control protocol data unit (MAC PDU) including the identification field and the power headroom field and transmitting the generated MAC PDU to a base station.
