  • Patent number: 10941740
Abstract: A high-pressure fuel pump includes a housing including a chamber, an inlet flow passage to draw fuel into the chamber, and a discharge flow passage to discharge fuel out of the chamber. The high-pressure fuel pump further includes a piston disposed in the housing and configured to compress fuel, a sleeve coupled to the housing and configured to support the piston and form a space for storing fuel, a discharge valve disposed in the discharge flow passage and configured to open when a pressure of fuel stored in the chamber is equal to or greater than a first pressure, and a pressure relief valve disposed in a relief flow passage that communicates with the discharge flow passage and the space. The pressure relief valve is configured to open when a pressure of fuel supplied into the relief flow passage is equal to or greater than a second pressure.

  • Patent number: 10876509
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a high-pressure fuel pump. The high-pressure fuel pump includes a housing including a chamber provided to compress fuel supplied thereinto, an inlet flow passage that communicates with the chamber to draw fuel into the chamber through the inlet flow passage, and a discharge flow passage that communicates with the chamber to discharge the fuel out of the chamber through the discharge flow passage. The high-pressure fuel pump further includes a piston disposed in the housing and configured to linearly reciprocate to compress the fuel supplied into the chamber; and a discharge valve disposed in the discharge flow passage of the housing and configured to open when a pressure of fuel stored in the chamber is equal to or greater than a first pressure, the discharge valve including an open-and-close member that makes line contact with an inlet of the discharge valve to close the inlet.

  • Patent number: 10465644
Abstract: A high pressure pump for complex injection engines is provided. A body of the high pressure pump includes a first flow path that transports the low pressure fuel flowing in through the low pressure fuel inlet and a low pressure fuel storage chamber that is disposed in a lower portion of the body to store the low pressure fuel transported from the first flow path. A second flow path transports the low pressure fuel stored in the low pressure fuel storage chamber and a flow control valve is disposed over the low pressure fuel storage chamber to discharge the low pressure fuel, transported through the second flow path, to the pressure unit or the damper disposed in an upper portion of the body based on an opening or closing operation. A low pressure fuel outlet discharges the low pressure fuel, transported through the damper, to a low pressure fuel rail.

  • Patent number: 9803600
Abstract: A damper assembly of a high-pressure fuel pump for reducing fuel pulsation, which is capable of reducing the pulsation of a fuel transferred to the high-pressure fuel pump to stabilize the supply of the fuel, having a simplified structure to minimize an installation space and curtailing manufacturing costs, is provided. The damper assembly of the high-pressure fuel pump includes a damper including upper and lower bodies having flange portions formed along a circumference thereof to face each other in a vertical direction, a retainer ring including a curved portion configured to support the damper and a support portion extending from the curved portion in a longitudinal direction, and a cover member configured to surround the damper and the retainer ring. Here, the damper is fixed in a housing as the flange portion of the upper body, the flange portion of the lower body and the curved portion of the retainer ring are welded at welding portions at the same time.
