Publication number: 20240046164Abstract: Systems and methods of generating active notifications for users of a networked computer system using transportation service prediction are disclosed herein. In some example embodiments, a computer system uses a prediction model to generate a transportation service prediction for a user based on an identification of the user, location data for the user, prediction time data, and historical user data for instances of the user using the transportation, and then causes a notification to be displayed on a computing device of the user based on the transportation service prediction, with the notification indicating a recommended use of the transportation service in association with the place for the time of day and the day of the week, and the notification comprising a selectable user interface element configured to enable the user to submit an electronic request for the recommended use of the transportation service.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2023Publication date: February 8, 2024Inventors: Neil Chagas Fernandes, Aditya Somani, Adnan Akil, Pablo Bellver, Jieying Chen, Archisman Roy, Gustavo Bagdadi de Castro, Norbert Y. Patent number: 10872531Abstract: A collision warning system determines probabilities of potential collisions between a vehicle and other objects such as other vehicles. In an embodiment, sensors of a client device capture sensor data including motion data and image frames from a forward-facing view of the vehicle. An orientation of the client device relative to the vehicle may be determined using the motion data. The collision warning system determines cropped portions of the image frames and detects an object captured the image frames by processing the cropped portions. The collision warning system determines a probability of a potential collision between the vehicle and the object by tracking motion of the object. Responsive to determining that the probability is greater than a threshold value, the collision warning system may provide a notification of the potential collision to a driver of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2018Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: Uber Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jingchen Liu, Yuh-Jie Eunice Chen, Himaanshu Gupta, Upamanyu Madhow, Mohammed Waleed Kadous

Publication number: 20020116018Abstract: An anastomosis system and methods for its use in end-to-side anastomoses are provided. The subject anastomosis system includes nesting, first and second structural means which are each tubular in structure and have a lip at at least one end. In performing an end-to-side anastomosis according to the subject invention, the subject anastomosis system is used to stably attach the graft vessel to the side of the host vessel in a manner that provides for fluid communication between the lumens of the graft and host vessels. Also provided are kits that include the subject systems. The subject anastomosis systems and methods find use in a variety of different anastomosis applications, including vascular anastomoses, and particular proximal anastomoses.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2001Publication date: August 22, 2002Inventors: Walter J. Stevens, Eunice Chen, Jessica Smith, Douglas Oguss, Mary K. O'Connell, Jay Story
