    Abstract: A personal care implement is disclosed having a flexible, apertured plastic shell and a resilient polymeric mesh sponge material held inside and in pressing engagement within the shell. In use, a sufficient quantity of a suitable liquid cleansing composition is introduced inside the implement. The implement produces copious quantities of lather foam and cleansing with sensory properties of a conventional toilet bar but with none of its disadvantages.
