Abstract: Anhydrous, stable retinol-based cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition for the skin. This composition contains solubilized retinol in an organic solution which is liquid at ambient temperature and which is chosen from the group comprising:i) aliphatic fatty alcohols having a branched chain at C.sub.16 -C.sub.20,ii) saturated alcoxylated fatty alcohols having a straight or branched chain at C.sub.16 -C.sub.20,iii) the diesters of dicarboxylic esters at C.sub.6 -C.sub.14 and of isopropyl alcohol, and mixtures of these solvents.This composition is intended for the treatment of skin disorders, and of acne in particular.

Abstract: Compositions containing a first dispersion of lipid vesicles which are capable of penetrating into the deep layers of the skin and which contain at least one active agent chosen from lipolytic agents, draining agents and firming agents, for treating these deep layers, and a second dispersion of lipid vesicles which are capable of penetrating into the surface layers of the skin and which contain at least one active agent chosen from cutaneous surface treatment agents, exfoliation agents, smoothing agents and softening agents for the skin, for treating these surface layers, are effective as slimming agents for combating plumpness.

Abstract: Compositions which comprise a first dispersion of lipid vesicles which are capable of penetrating into the deep layers of the skin and which contain at least one active agent chosen from antimicrobial agents, antiseptic agents, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory agents, anti-seborrhoeic agents, retinol and the derivatives thereof, for treating these deep layers, and a second dispersion of lipid vesicles which are capable of penetrating into the surface layers of the skin and which contain at least one active agent chosen from keratolytic agents, protective agents, moisturizing agents and antioxidants, for treating these surface layers, are particularly effective for the treatment of acne.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical composition for topical application to the skin, comprising an oil-in-water emulsion containing dithranol. This composition contains, in order to prevent the oxidation of the dithranol, nonionic vesicles prepared from a lipid phase containing at least one nonionic amphiphilic lipid. These vesicles are dispersed in the aqueous phase of the emulsion.

Abstract: The process consists in dissolving a corticosteroid in the lipid phase of nonionic amphiphilic lipid vesicles consisting of one or more lipid lamellae.Composition for carrying out the above process, in which the vesicles are dispersed in an aqueous phase D, have an average diameter of between 10 and 5,000 nm and contain as corticosteroids 17- and/or 21-mono- or -diesters of hydrocortisone, cortisone, prednisone, prednisolone or 6-methylprednisolone, the corticosteroids representing 0.5 to 2.5% by weight of the total lipids of the lamellae.
