  • Patent number: 10230475
Abstract: A method is provided for generating a plurality of electrical signals from polychromatic optical signals extracted from a set of optical fibers, a polychromatic signal including a plurality of predetermined wavelengths. An electrical signal is generated by using predetermined wavelengths. The method includes: grouping the extracted optical signals together into a polychromatic optical signal beam; separating the polychromatic signal beam into a plurality of monochromatic optical signal beams; and converting the plurality of separated monochromatic optical signal beams into the plurality of electrical signals.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 2013
Date of Patent: March 12, 2019
    Assignee: ORANGE
Inventors: Philippe Chanclou, Fabienne Saliou, Bertrand Le Guyader
  • Patent number: 9602216
Abstract: A reflective light-emitting device is provided for a WDM PON optical access network. The device includes a light source with an optical gain medium. The light-emitting device includes a light source with an optical gain medium, of wavelength that is self-seeding during a go-and-return passage of light between the optical gain medium and an optical reflective component defining the laser cavity. The optical reflective component is made up of an optical amplifier associated reflective optical connection to a polarizing device so that the polarization axis of the reflected light is the same as the polarization axis of the emitted light.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 21, 2017
    Assignee: ORANGE
Inventors: Philippe Chanclou, Fabienne Saliou, Benoit Charbonnier
  • Patent number: 9537600
Abstract: The invention relates to a receiving device (Rx1_b) capable of receiving an optical signal emitted by an emitting device including a light source for emitting the optical signal, the optical signal being transmitted by a passive optical network having wavelength division multiplexing, the receiving device including: an optical amplifier (Amp_b) for amplifying the optical signal received from the emitting device; an optical detector (D_b) capable of detecting data in the amplified optical signal; an optical reflector (Ref_b) configured to return the amplified optical signal toward the emitting device, such as to tune the wavelength of the optical signal emitted by the emitting device by means of a round trip of the optical signal between the emitting device and the optical reflector.
