  • Publication number: 20240153120
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Method to determine the depth of a scene (I) from at least one digital image (R, T) of said scene (I), comprising the following steps: A. acquiring said at least one digital image (R, T) of said scene (I); B. calculating a first disparity map (DM1) from said at least one digital image (R, T), wherein said first disparity map (DM1) consists of a matrix of pixels pij with i=1, . . . , M and j=1, . . . , N, where i and j indicate respectively the line and column index of said first disparity map (DM1), and M and N are positive integers; C. calculating a second disparity map (DM2), by a neural network, from said at least one digital image (R, T); D. selecting a plurality of sparse depth data Sij relative to the respective pixel pij of said first disparity map (DM1); E. extracting said plurality of sparse depth data S ii from said first disparity map (DM1); and F.

  • Publication number: 20220319029
Abstract: A method for determining the depth from digital images (R, T) relating to scenes (I), comprising the following steps: A. acquiring at least one digital image (R, T) of a scene (I); B. acquiring sparse depth values (Sij) of said scene (I) relating to one or more of said pixels (pij) of said digital image (R, T); C. generating meta-data related to each pixel (pij) of said digital image (R, T) acquired in said step A correlated with the depth to be estimated of said image (I); D. modifying said meta-data generated in said step C, relating to each pixel (pij) of said digital image; and E. optimizing said meta-data modified in said step D, so as to obtain a map representative of the depth of said digital image (R, T) for determining the depth of said digital image (R, T) itself.

  • Patent number: 10068684
Abstract: A fire resistant cable comprising: at least one conducting element; at least one layer, surrounding said conducting element, made of a ceramifiable composition comprising: a polymeric material comprising an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer as main polymer; at least 25 wt % of silica; a fluxing agent selected from alkaline metal oxides or precursors thereof; a stabilizing agent comprising at least one of MgO, CaO, PbO, B2O3, or a precursor thereof; from 0.1 wt % to 5 wt % of a hydroxide selected from magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide and mixtures thereof; the above percentages being expressed with respect to the weight of the ceramifiable composition. Upon exposure to elevated temperatures such as those encountered in case of fire, the ceramifiable composition is transformed into a ceramic material capable of protecting the conducting element from fire and mechanical stresses. The fire resistant cable of the present invention can continue operating under fire conditions for a certain period of time.
