  • Patent number: 8042234
Abstract: Disclosed is a clamping device including a collar having at least one pair of projecting lugs and tightening means co-operating with said lugs. Each lug of a pair is equipped with reinforcement means suitable for opposing deformation of said lugs under the action of the tightening means. Each lug has a connection portion via which it is connected to a belt portion of the collar, which connection portion is upstanding relative to said belt portion, and a tightening wall, with which the tightening means come into engagement and which is folded back towards the belt portion. A space is formed between the connection portion and the tightening wall.

  • Publication number: 20110215574
Abstract: The collar has a substantially cylindrical metal belt (16) and at least one pair of lugs (18, 20) that project relative to said belt and that define a tightening space (22) between them. It also has tightening equipment for bringing the lugs together. Each of the lugs (18, 20) has an extension (19, 21) that is folded back towards the back of said lug, away from the other lug, and that is provided with a hole (22B, 23B) for receiving the tightening rod (24) and the tightening equipment, which hole is situated facing a hole (22A, 23A) in the front portion of the same lug. A bracing space (26, 27) is provided between the folded-back extension and said front portion. Each of the holes (22B, 22A) in the extension (19) and in the front portion (18A) has an edge portion provided with a visor (26B, 26A, 27A) that extends into the bracing space (26, 27), and an edge portion that is not provided with a visor and that extends facing the visor of the other hole.

  • Publication number: 20100287740
Abstract: The system comprises a clamping collar (10) suitable for being brought resiliently from its rest configuration in which its diameter is small to an expanded configuration. The system further comprises a support ring (20) suitable for being encircled by the collar, and an expander (40) suitable for co-operating with the ring firstly to hold the ring in an expanded configuration in which the collar (10) encircling the ring is also in its expanded configuration when the expander and the ring are in a first relative position, and secondly to enable the ring to contract and the clamping system to tighten under the resilient return force exerted by the collar encircling the ring when the expander and the ring are in a second relative position.

  • Patent number: 7802821
Abstract: A device includes a clamping collar having a belt that has two substantially cylindrical faces and that is suitable for being tightened around an article to be clamped; and at least one positioning including a securing plate that is disposed facing a first face of the belt while being retained relative to the belt; and a positioning portion that is suitable for positioning the device relative to the article to be clamped. When the collar is in its initial, non-tightened state, the securing plate is braced against the first face of the belt, wherein at the beginning of tightening, the plate deforming causes the bracing effect to cease, thereby allowing the belt and the plate to move relative to each other. The plate is suitable for being deformed while the collar is being tightened onto the article so as to present curvature that matches the curvature of the belt.

  • Publication number: 20100162533
Abstract: A clamping collar comprising: a belt having two free ends, at least one of said free ends being curved back to form a loop, said loop being defined by an outer belt portion and by an underlying inner belt portion; and a tightening system suitable for co-operating with said loop so as to tighten said belt; in which clamping collar said outer belt portion presents a pushed-in portion, set back relative to the outer outline of the loop, which pushed-in portion defines a tightening wall with which the tightening system comes into engagement, and is flanked on either side by respective ones of two edge segments of the outer belt portion.

  • Patent number: 7530605
Abstract: The coupling (10) comprises a body (16) suitable for being fitted onto a tube (12) in leaktight manner, and a locking clip (22) that is elastically deformable between a locking configuration in which at least one locking zone (24A, 24B) of the clip can catch on a catch surface (14) of the tube and an unlocking configuration. The clip (22) is disposed over the wall of the body (16), which wall is provided with at least one transverse slot (30A, 30B) through which the locking zone (24A, 24B) projects into the body when the clip is in the locking configuration, and with at least one setback (32A, 32B; 36A, 36B) provided at the end of the slot, a portion of the bottom of said setback forming an unlocking ramp (34A, 34B; 38A, 38B) on which an unlocking zone (35A, 35B; 37A, 37B) can slide in order to cause the clip to go from its locking configuration to its unlocking configuration.
