Abstract: A holder for use in the filling, in a manner which permits easy retrieval, of flat recording media such as floppy disks for use in computers. The holder comprises a sandwich which includes a recess defining intermediate sheet positioned between cover and bottom sheets, the intermediate sheet being formed by a deep-drawing process so as to have side walls which extend generally transverse to the plane of the sheet. Pockets for holding disks are formed between the cover and intermediate sheets by the side walls.

Abstract: A container for use in the mailing of flat recording media, discettes having computer programs or the like recorded thereon for example, comprises a pair of cover members which cooperate to define a pocket therebetween, at least two parts of these cover members being relatively movable with respect to each other to open and close the container. The relatively movable cover parts are provided with receivers for closure elements, the closure elements and the cover member receivers being designed such that once the container has been closed and the closure elements inserted the container may not be re-opened without destruction of the closure elements.

Abstract: A pivotal filing container is disclosed for storage and filing of magnetic computer disks or like generally flat articles. The container construction includes a generally rectangular outer support portion, and a relatively pivotal inner file portion which is pivotal between open and closed positions with respect to the outer support portion. In the preferred form, the inner file portion can be opened to a tray-like V-configuration when disposed in its open position, thus facilitating convenient review and inspection of magnetic disks stored within the file portion. To further facilitate convenient use, an indexing mechanism is provided to prevent unrestrained pivotal movement of the inner file portion to its open position after it has been moved from its fully closed position.

Abstract: A rotary magazine assembly for holding information bearing cards and the like having support pins attached along one of the sides of the cards, includes a stand with spaced apart plates for supporting the cards for rotary movement about the central axis of the stand, and a device mounted on the stand adjacent one of the plates for maintaining a pair of cards separated from one another when it is desired to retrieve information therefrom, the device including a stop element moveable into and out of engagements with sides of the separated cards.
