    Abstract: The present invention discloses polycarbodiimides containing two terminal hydrophilic groups, which differ from conventional polycarbodiimde crosslinkers that contain a hydrophilic portion on one side and a hydrophobic portion on the other. The polycarbodiimides have superior hydrophilic properties and crosslinking properties as well. A method for producing such polycarbodiimides is also disclosed.
