    Abstract: A system can receive seismic data that can correlate to a subterranean formation. The system can derive a set of seismic attributes from the seismic data. The seismic attributes can include discontinuity-along-dip. The system can determine parameterized results by analyzing the seismic data and the seismic attributes using a deep learning neural network. The deep learning neural network can include a dilation module. The system can determine one or more fault probabilities of the subterranean formation using the parameterized results. The system can output the fault probabilities for use in a hydrocarbon exploration operation.

    Abstract: A method for detecting a topological structure of a grounding grid under extremely cold condition, includes the following steps: in a substation in an extremely cold area, determining a measuring area S on a ground surface of a grounding grid according to the positions of branches and nodes of the grounding grid in a selected area, acquiring dynamic current values of the branches and nodes through a current sensor based on TMR tunnel magnetoresistance, and then indirectly acquiring the magnetic induction intensity of the measuring area S through conversion; calculating moduli of first to third derivatives of magnetic induction intensities; and determining specific positions and laying depths of the branches of the grounding grid according to peak distances between main lobe peaks and side peaks between strong peaks of the moduli. According to the method, the calculation amount is greatly reduced, and the detection method has strong anti-interference.

A geometrical element spread function is disclosed that quantifies distortion of the geology as seen by the geophysicists who process seismic images of the subterranean formations. A method of determining the rock properties using the seismic images and synthetic images is provided. In one example, the method includes: (1) obtaining seismic data from a subterranean formation using a seismic acquisition system, (2) generating one or more seismic images of the subterranean formation using the seismic data, (3) creating one or more synthetic images from the one or more seismic images, and (4) determining rock properties of the subterranean formation based on the one or more seismic images and the one or more synthetic images.

    Abstract: Increasing resolution of liquid crystal displays may result in small distances between adjacent liquid crystal display pixels. This tight pixel spacing may reduce transmission through the liquid crystal display pixels and may result in cross-talk between the liquid crystal display pixels. To increase transmission and, correspondingly, display efficiency, a reflective layer may be included in the liquid crystal display. The reflective layer recycles backlight that may otherwise be absorbed, improving transmittance and efficiency. To reduce color shift and color mixing caused by cross-talk, the pixels may have their pixel electrodes arranged in a zigzag layout. Each pixel electrode may have a height that is less than or equal to the total height of the pixel divided by two. The pixel electrodes in a given row are also alternatingly coupled to first and second gate lines. This zigzag layout results in an increased distance between adjacent pixel electrodes, mitigating pixel cross-talk.

In various aspects, the seismic attributes can be normalized and have importance coefficients determined. A sub-set of seismic attributes can be selected to reduce computing resources and processing time. The deep learning neural network can utilize the seismic data and seismic attributes to determine parameterized results representing fault probabilities. The fault prediction system can utilize the fault probabilities to determine fault predictions which can be represented as a predicted new seismic data, such as using a three-dimensional image.
