Patent number: 11939238Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus and a method for hydrate-based wastewater treatment and cold storage. The apparatus for hydrate-based wastewater treatment and cold storage includes a water chilling unit, a hydrate-based cold storage tank, an airflow disturbance device, a water layer positioning system, a spraying system, a suction filtration system, a heat exchange system, and a system monitoring device. The water chilling unit provides a secondary refrigerant at a low temperature. The secondary refrigerant flows through an evaporator coil in the hydrate-based cold storage tank for heat exchange. The airflow disturbance device induces hydrate nucleation. The water layer positioning system positions a contact surface between a water layer and a hydrate former after hydrate decomposition to facilitate drawing and separation of the treated upper water layer. The spraying system and the suction filtration system enhance the solid-liquid separation efficiency to improve the removal rate of pollutants.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2023Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: DALIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Lunxiang Zhang, Yongchen Song, Xiaodong Wu, Jiazhu Bao, Chuanxiao Cheng, Zheng Ling, Jie Wang, Fan Wang, Yu Liu, Lei Yang, Mingjun Yang, Yanghui Li, Peng Wu

Publication number: 20140285684Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for examining authenticity of printed material and distinguishing between original printed material and counterfeit printed material is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method is performed by a mobile device. The mobile device recognizes a reference point on a page of the printed material, computes a color balance ratio for that reference point, and compares the computed color balance ratio to an expected value for original printed material. Based on the comparison between the computed color balance ratio and the expected value, a determination is made as to the authenticity of the printed material. If the printed material is authentic, the mobile device may provide supplementary, complementary and/or additional information and content, for example, information related to the page or chapter of the printed material. If the printed material is not authentic, the mobile device may inhibit the presentation of additional material.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2011Publication date: September 25, 2014Inventors: William Y. Patent number: 8432936Abstract: A transmitter generates MUX-PDUs for video, audio, data, and/or control streams based on a fixed PHY packet size such that all or a substantial percentage of the MUX-PDUs conform to the PHY packet size. The MUX-PDUs have variable sizes and are mapped to PHY packets such that (1) each MUX-PDU that is smaller than the PHY packet size is sent in one PHY packet and (2) each MUX-PDU that is larger than the PHY packet size is sent in a minimum number of PHY packets. Each MUX-PDU is padded with one or more null MUX-PDUs and/or one or more padding bytes, if needed, to obtain the PHY packet size. Each PHY packet is sent in one transmission time interval (TTI) to a receiver. The receiver performs the complementary processing on the received PHY packets to recover the MUX-PDUs. The receiver forwards each valid MUX-PDU and discards any padding.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2011Date of Patent: April 30, 2013Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventor: Fan Ling
