  • Patent number: 6397232
Abstract: A method and a system for translating a format of a content of document file, applied to a network environment with a plurality of data processing systems. Each of the data processing systems includes a respective document database having a plurality of document files, and the document files of each document database is respective to a standard format. While a first data processing system intends to forward a document file to a second data processing system, the first data processing system can retrieve the document file with respect to a first standard format from the document database. Then, the first data processing system can translate the document file into a pre-map data file. Thereafter, the first data processing system can map the pre-map data file onto a second standard format data file and can further send out the second standard format data file.

  • Patent number: 5903250
Abstract: The number of external column driver chip can be reduced to one in an active matrix liquid crystal display with column input multiplexing driving scheme. At least two sample and hold circuits are used for each column with alternate sampling and holding periods. Video signals are sampled and held at least twice during one line scanning time. These sample and hold circuits are all integrated in the driver chip.

  • Patent number: 5742270
Abstract: This invention provides a method for scanning a thin film transistor liquid crystal display which eliminates the undesirable brightness fluctuations in the display due to parasitic capacitance. When conventional scanning methods are used in thin film transistor liquid crystal displays parasitic and other capacitances in the array cause fluctuations in brightness of the pixels. This method scans multiple rows of the display simultaneously and still eliminates the brightness fluctuations of the pixels.

  • Patent number: 5710571
Abstract: This invention provides a method for scanning a thin film transistor liquid crystal display which eliminates the undesirable brightness fluctuations in the display due to parasitic capacitance. When conventional scanning methods are used in thin film transistor liquid crystal displays parasitic capacitance between the gate of the thin film transistors and the pixels causes fluctuations in brightness of the pixels. This method scans only one row of the display at a time and the brightness fluctuations of the pixels are eliminated.
