  • Publication number: 20240129294
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for automatically generating task-based and limited-privilege user security credentials are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes processing a request for user security credentials against one or more predetermined security parameters associated with at least one network; generating, based on the processing of the request, at least one set of user security credentials comprising one or more combinations of multiple randomly selected characters; configuring one or more attributes associated with the at least one set of user security credentials in connection with the at least one network, wherein the one or more attributes comprise at least one of one or more task-related attributes and one or more privilege-related attributes; and performing one or more automated actions based on the one or more configured attributes and/or implementation of the at least one set of user security credentials by one or more users.

  • Publication number: 20240037206
Abstract: Centralized management of a Data Processing Unit (DPU) Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) through an integrated server remote access controller (iRAC) may include embedding a secure token in a communication from the iRAC to a BMC of a DPU, the secure token authorizing the iRAC to the DPU BMC and authorizing the DPU BMC to the iRAC. The secure token may include a first layer token authorizing the iRAC to the DPU and authorizing the DPU to the iRAC and a second layer token authorizing the DPU to the DPU BMC and authorizing the BMC to the DPU. Alternatively, the secure token may be generated by the iRAC generating an initial token authorizing the iRAC to the DPU and authorizing the DPU to the iRAC, the iRAC embedding the initial token in a request to the DPU for a resource of the DPU BMC and the DPU generating the secure token.

  • Patent number: 11722569
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for providing a virtual media gateway in which an Information Handling Systems (IHSs) configured on a private network may be managed using a systems management console. One embodiment of the virtual media gateway system includes a systems manager in communication with multiple server IHSs configured in a data center. The systems manager includes executable code to establish a first login session with a public network configured in the data center, and using the first login session, receive a request to communicate with one of the computing devices. The executable code is further executable to authenticate the systems manager with the one server IHS on behalf of the end-user to establish a second login session through a private network, and generate a console for providing user interaction with the one computing device via the second login session.

  • Publication number: 20180014075
Abstract: A media playback system is configured to automatically establish a connection, via a wireless network, to an internet-based media platform, delivering copyright-protected media assets and establishing access to some or all of those assets. No prior user configuration, set-up, sign-up or other user identification for that media delivery platform is needed because the system automatically and uniquely identifying itself to the media delivery platform to enable that platform, or an access control component associated with the platform, to determine if the system is licensed to receive streaming media, irrespective of the user of the system. The system can include a portable remote control device that enables a user to select copyright-protected media, such as streaming media, from the media delivery platform. The remote control is used to control a user interface displayed on a TV that has been re-purposed to serve as the streaming media output.
