  • Patent number: 8584301
Abstract: A dental device including an elongated handle and a tip portion formed at a distal end of the handle and tapering to a tip end. A plurality of bristles is integrally molded with the tip end from a flexible polymer material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 3, 2011
Date of Patent: November 19, 2013
    Assignee: Denbur, Inc.

  • Patent number: 7604146
Abstract: This invention generally relates to an apparatus and a method for singularly dispensing elongated items. Specifically, this invention may include an elongated body forming a channel and a baffle to separate at least one elongated item from a plurality of elongated items. The width of the channel is preferably less than twice a thickness of the elongated item so that an elongated item may align under an aperture. The elongated item may then pass one at a time through the aperture to minimize potential cross-contamination. This apparatus and method may be particularly useful for dispensing dental applicators or other tooth cleaning devices.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20090035727
Abstract: A dental device including an elongated handle and an access handle formed along the elongated handle. A tip portion is formed at a distal end of the access handle and tapers to a point flocked with a plurality of bristles. A weakened portion is formed between the access handle and the elongated handle thereby permitting separation of the access handle and the tip portion relative to the elongated handle.

  • Publication number: 20060042034
Abstract: A cleaning device including a handle portion transitioning into a tip portion. The tip portion includes a back wall and two opposing tapered side walls connected to the back wall and forming an edge along a length of the tip portion. The opposing side walls converge from a base of the tip portion to a point of the tip portion. Preferably, a plurality of bristles coat the edge and at least a portion of each of the opposing side walls. The back wall is free of or void of bristles. At least one indentation is formed in the cleaning device, for example on the handle portion, so that the tip portion is bendable with respect to the handle portion at the indentation.

  • Patent number: 6913464
Abstract: An applicator tip for applying a composition to a tooth surface includes a structural body having a closed distal end portion and an inlet formed opposite the closed distal end portion. Preferably, but not necessarily, a plurality of fibers coat at least a portion of the closed distal end portion of the applicator tip. The applicator tip includes an axial opening formed within the structural body proximal to the closed distal end portion such that the structural body forms a channel that provides fluidic communication between the inlet and the axial opening.
