Abstract: The present invention generally relates to the automation of generating online books, as collection of documents, and specifically eBooks. Specifically, this invention relates to a system and method for allowing multiple users, without any particular knowledge of publishing or computer systems, to collaborate over one or more networks and generate multimedia interactive documents and ebooks.

Abstract: The system and method herein described allows home cooks and professional chefs with basic computer skills create recipes with photo slideshows and videos, collect and organize recipes in electronic cookbooks that can be published and sold as eBooks. The new process incorporates methods for computing calories, nutritional facts and food group servings of recipes, and comparing said nutrients and food group servings to recommended daily allowances.

Abstract: In an automated method system for coordinating navigations within two or more knowledge bases that would otherwise be functionally independent, context-continuity is maintained when an automated transfer is executed from a first knowledge base to a second knowledge base. The transfer is triggered by detection that the second knowledge base has a greater relevance to the user. As a result of the context-continuity, information acquired prior to the transfer is used to achieve a partial navigation within the second knowledge base. For embodiments involving Virtual Agents, the content-continuity includes simulating a continuation of dialog despite the transfer.
