  • Patent number: 10618404
Abstract: A vehicle includes a frame, a plurality of ground-engaging members, a steering assembly for steering the vehicle, an internal combustion engine, and a continuously variable transmission (CVT). An engine air intake system provides air to the engine and includes a first air inlet facing generally forwardly and a first rearwardly-extending conduit portion extending rearwardly from the first air inlet. The first rearwardly-extending conduit portion fluidly communicates with an engine air inlet. A CVT air intake system provides air to the CVT and includes a second air inlet facing generally forwardly and a second rearwardly-extending conduit portion extending rearwardly from the second air inlet. The second rearwardly-extending conduit portion fluidly communicates with a cooling air inlet of the CVT. The engine is disposed at least in part laterally between the first and second rearwardly-extending conduit portions.

  • Patent number: 10567467
Abstract: A method for heuristic control of traffic management on a computer network, the method including: setting predetermined benchmarks for traffic; performing a traffic management control loop to determine at least one value of a quality of experience (QoE) metric, via a QoE measuring module, on the network based on the traffic flow; performing a heuristic control loop comprising: aggregating the at least one value of the QoE metric obtained from the traffic management control loop; determining a new benchmark based on the aggregation of the QoE metric, via a heuristic control module; and sending the new benchmark to the QoE measuring module.

  • Patent number: 10291828
Abstract: A scalable three-dimensional (3D), 360-degree camera system is configured to capture images and/or video across 360 degrees of a local area. The camera system includes a plurality of cameras that are coupled to a spherical inner core, which is enclosed within an exterior shell composed of several segments. The exterior shell segments include apertures that align with each camera, and an interior shell component is concentrically aligned with each aperture. The configuration of the exterior shell segments and the interior shell components protect the camera assembly from physical damage and the environment and additionally improve heat dissipation from internal components of the camera system. Design parameters of the camera system can be determined to adjust the number of cameras, the size of the inner core, the positioning of the cameras on the inner core, and the number and configuration of the segments of the interior and exterior shell.

  • Patent number: 10094762
Abstract: A patterned capillary device comprising a pattern on an inner surface is described herein. More specifically, the patterned capillary device comprises a wall having an outer surface and an inner surface, the wall defining a fluidic channel. A substantially opaque film covers the inner surface of the wall, the opaque film comprising a plurality of substantially transparent segments defining a pattern. A process for fabricating a pattern formed of opaque and transparent portions on an inner surface of a capillary device is also described herein.
