Abstract: A method for querying vehicle data, e.g., data related to the odometer reading and/or wear of the vehicle, includes the following steps: a) transmitting a vehicle identifier from a user terminal to a server; b) establishing a wireless data link between the server and the vehicle identified by the vehicle identifier; c) transmitting data from the control unit of the vehicle to the server; d) analyzing the transmitted data; and e) transmitting the data and/or the analysis results to the user terminal.
