  • Patent number: 9629513
Abstract: A floor cleaning machine has a housing and a movable hood that covers over vacuum and liquid hoses of the machine that are visible in prior art floor cleaning machines. The vacuum and liquid hoses are each pivotally connected to a wall of the machine housing and are also pivotally connected to a transparent dome provided on the hood. These connections reduce stresses on the hoses when the hood is moved and allow the dome to pivot relative to the hood. The floor cleaning machine also has a pair of slit orifices that eject fan spray patterns of cleaning liquid that are non-coplanar and do not intersect each other. Furthermore, the floor cleaning machine has an oscillating brush assembly that includes a brush that is replaceable without using tools. The brush height can be adjusted via an adjustment member provided on the oscillating portion of the assembly.

  • Publication number: 20170053450
Abstract: A virtual or augmented reality display system that controls a display using control information included with the virtual or augmented reality imagery that is intended to be shown on the display. The control information can be used to specify one of multiple possible display depth planes. The control information can also specify pixel shifts within a given depth plane or between depth planes. The system can also enhance head pose measurements from a sensor by using gain factors which vary based upon the user's head pose position within a physiological range of movement.

  • Patent number: 8157392
Abstract: An apparatus (3) for generating a three-dimensional kaleidoscopic image, comprising a screen (4) for the projection of images thereon, and a plurality of mirrors (31,32,33) surrounding the screen, wherein the screen is substantially shaped as a portion of a surface of a polyhedron or sphere with an icosahedral group symmetry of reflection, and the plurality of mirrors are aligned with planes extending through a projected centre of said polyhedron or sphere and intersecting each edge of the screen such that an image generated on the screen is reflected in the mirrors to produce an apparent three-dimensional image of said polyhedron or sphere.

  • Patent number: 8118912
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a system and a method for purifying and storing water produced from atmospheric air to provide a safe, inexpensive source of potable water. Improvements over prior systems and methods include the use of two isolated air chambers, one for ambient air used to capture moisture from the atmosphere, and another for clean rechargeable air to convert the captured moisture into condensate and using a rotating mass of hygroscopic material and a condensation unit, each of which is periodically sterilized by heat.
