  • Patent number: 11655889
Abstract: An electromechanical power steering system for a motor vehicle includes a worm shaft which can be driven by an electric motor and which meshes with a worm wheel coupled to a steering shaft. The worm shaft is rotatably mounted in a bearing which has at least one bearing ring fitted in a retainer that can be displaced relative to the worm wheel. In order to specify an electromechanical power steering system having an improved retainer, which has higher dimensional stability and increased stiffness, according to the invention the retainer has a main body of plastic, which is injection-molded onto the bearing ring as an injection-molded part.

  • Patent number: 11434956
Abstract: A holding ring for the axial fixing of a rotary bearing of a steering apparatus for motor vehicles on a rotatable component with a cylindrical outer surface onto which an inner bearing shell of the rotary bearing is mounted, wherein the holding ring includes at least one spring tongue which lies in an axial direction resiliently against the inner bearing shell, is improved with regard to a simple design and assembly process in that the holding ring comprises radially inwardly projecting elastic fixing tongues which, in the relaxed state, extend into the radial region of the rotatable component such that, when the holding ring is pushed onto the cylindrical outer surface of the rotatable component, the fixing tongues are deflected elastically in an axial direction opposite to the pushing-on direction and lie with a radial preload force against the outer surface of the rotatable component.

  • Publication number: 20220135115
Abstract: An electromechanical power steering system for a vehicle may include a worm that can be driven rotationally about a drive axis by an electric motor, that interacts with a worm gear that is coupled to a steering shaft, and that is mounted such that it can be rotated about the drive axis in a bearing that is held in a holder. The holder may be movable relative to the worm gear. To make a decreased development of noise possible, the holder has a core element that is made from a core material and is connected to at least one contact element. The contact element may be made from a soft material that can be deformed elastically more easily and is softer relative to the core material.

  • Patent number: 10953913
Abstract: An electromechanical power steering system having an electric servo motor having a motor shaft. The electric servo motor drives a shaft which meshes with a helical wheel. The shaft is rotatably supported in a gear mechanism housing. The motor shaft is coupled to the shaft in a rotationally secure manner by a coupling which compensates for an axial offset. The shaft at the end thereof close to the motor is supported in a bearing in the gear mechanism housing so as to be able to be rotated about a rotation axis and is pivotably supported about a pivot axis which is perpendicular to the rotation axis in such a manner that the pivot axis is arranged in the region of the coupling.
