    Abstract: Reheat furnaces for steel mills are constructed using resilient supporting mechanisms for restraining and supporting the binder structure within a rigid steel frame. This construction enables the furnace to be rebricked without affecting other furnaces in the battery and also allows the refractory lined wall to distort without disturbing the rigid frame.
