Abstract: The present invention provides a method for obtaining a specific population of umbilical cord mesenchymal cells. A composition containing this population of specific cells is useful for preparing a medicament that is used for cell therapies, such as problems with cardiac ejection flow of patients with a decreased ejection fraction. At the same time, this subpopulation is useful for preparing a medication that serves to relieve pain and restore the functionality of joint wear; to treat respiratory problems, such as lung lesions, acute lung lesions, such as acute respiratory distress syndrome and to treat skin lesions, such as chronic wounds and ulcers.
