  • Patent number: 5305617
Abstract: To a branch (40) of a metal bracelet applicable to watches is fixed a frame (12) having a movable catch plate (20) and to which is hingedly connected an overturnable plate (14) having an end hook (34). Connected to the opposite branch of the bracelet is a forked member (16) having a tie bar (30) which fits into semicircular seats (26) formed in the frame (12) upon closure of the device. In another embodiment, the closing device includes two arched sheets (52) and (54), in sheet (54) a chamber (66) is formed in which slides a catch plate (76) the front end of which is coupled below the hook (52') formed at one end of sheet (52) upon closure of the device.

  • Patent number: 5201789
Abstract: The band consists of a plurality of links (20), (22) formed by bringing together four turns (12a), (12b), (12c) and (12d) constrained together by means of pins or equivalent elements inserted in the substantially cylindrical seat which said turns create by partial reciprocal penetration. At least one of said turns and preferably the fourth turn of each link is provided on one side with internal threading into which screws the end (18') of the screw (18) constituting the means of connection between two links (20), (22) and is arranged between the side blocks (30). An alternative form of execution provides that to the branches (42) and/or (44) of the band (40) are connected one or more segments (52) made of metal fabric similarly to the band itself. Said connection is provided by pins inserted in the tubes (54) formed by tube sections (54'), (54"), (54"').

  • Patent number: 5187838
Abstract: The closing device consists of a frame (12) and opposed arms (14) with hook (18) designed to be inserted in the central bolt (20). In the latter, which is bounded below by the base (24) and above by the crosspiece (30) there is arranged in a sliding manner the plate (28) with openings (32), (36) and (34). The latter receives the spring (42) while in the openings (32) and (36) are engaged the hooks (18) of the arms (14).The end (28') of the plate (28) is drawn manually outward and brings about simultaneous unhooking of the arms (14) to which are constrained the band branches.Additional forms of embodiment call for the use of a bolt (60) with pushbutton (68) for simultaneous unhooking of the arms (54) and a bolt (90) with pushbutton (98) which moves opposed shaped plates (94), (94') which constrain the arms (84).

  • Patent number: 4625508
Abstract: A bracelet comprises a plurality of interengaging pivotally-connected flat links. Each link has an elliptical contour and a central diamond-shaped opening, a first channel in the upper face and a second channel in the lower face, the channels crossing each other so that the sides of the channels coincide with the pairs of opposed edges of the opening. One end of the first channel has a slot extending from the edge to the opening for the passage of another link during assembly. This other link is turned through 90.degree. to lie in the same plane after passing through the slot and the links are pivotally connected by pivot pins which pass through apexes of the diamond-shaped opening lying on the center line of the bracelet and are received in holes extending within the thickness of the links.

  • Patent number: 4619022
Abstract: A double-safety catch for a bracelet, for example a watch bracelet, has a first closure element pivotally mounted at one end of a first portion of the bracelet for swinging about an axis transverse to the length of the bracelet. The first closure element passes through an opening in the end of the second portion of the bracelet and has a projecting catch which prevents accidental withdrawal of the first closure element from the opening and serves for locking resilient engagement with a rib on the first portion to trap the end of the second portion. A second closure element is pivotable about an axis extending longitudinally of the bracelet to cover the first closure element and to engage with a spring locking device which is manually releasable.

  • Patent number: 4545095
Abstract: An extensible clasp is described for use with a watch strap of flat flexible material having at one end a portion formed with a loop fitted with a buckle and at the other end a portion providing apertures for the tongue of the buckle. The clasp comprises first and second elongated portions that are connected by a hinge pin. The outer end of the first elongated portion is pivotally mounted on one of two pins of a link element, the other pin being fitted in said loop after removal of the buckle. The second elongated portion consists of a flattened sleeve into which the apertured end portion of the strap is inserted and secured by a screw. The strap thus becomes continuous and is unlikely to slip off when being fitted round a wrist. To close the clasp, the two elongated portions are folded against each other and a hole near the outer end of the first elongated portion is pressed into locking engagement with a beak element on the second elongated portion.

  • Patent number: 4545094
Abstract: An extensible clasp is described for use with a continuous flexible wristlet, as for a watch. The clasp comprises first and second elongated portions that are connected by a hinge pin. The first portion is slightly curved to conform to the shape of a wrist and is formed of two parts that can slide along each other, with one part carrying the hinge pin at one end and being formed with a single hole near its other end, and the other part being formed with several aligned holes arranged selectively to register with the single hole. The second portion is also curved, but slightly more so, and carries a beak element which, upon the two portions being folded over each other to close the clasp, is pushed through a registering pair of holes to lock the clasp in a selected position.

  • Patent number: 4324024
Abstract: The device comprises a slide having a bottom and a pair of opposite sides. The bottom is adapted to receive the end of the bracelet to be lengthened or shortened in a slidable and adjustable manner. An eccentric shaft is pivotally connected to said opposite sides of the slide in order to lock the bracelet in its adjusted position and is provided with a screw head which can be rotated by means of a screw-driver. Reliefs and recesses are provided in order to prevent the bracelet from sliding.
