  • Patent number: 7887765
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the conversion of aromatic alkyls to aromatic carboxylic acids in a reactor are provided, wherein the location of the feeding of the reaction mixture into the reactor significantly increases the conversion efficiency of the precursor materials.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 21, 2007
Date of Patent: February 15, 2011
Assignee: Tereftalatos Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V.
    Inventors: Fernando Varela-Fuentes, Arturo Bulbarela-Croda, Guillermo Ramirez-Aguilar, Bertha Moran-Delgado
  • Patent number: 7273950
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the conversion of aromatic alkyls to aromatic carboxylic acids in a reactor are provided, wherein the location of the feeding of the reaction mixture into the reactor significantly increases the conversion efficiency of the precursor materials.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 13, 2003

  • Publication number: 20030122029
Abstract: The device “CENTERS FOR TAPE ROLLS AND THEIR SPOOLS OR ROLLRACK HUBS” has been put forward. This innovation consists of a new shape in the structure of the center of the rolls in a way which is very similar to a triangle which will be called “Delta” and for a second preferred embodiment of the invention which is very similar to a square which will be called “Tetrahedral” and which working with a spool of an adequate shape called “For Delta Rolls” or “For Tetrahedral Rolls” as a second preferred embodiment of the invention, the sliding of the roll on the spool will be hindered and therefore avoid the problems of inconsistency in the tension of the tape in packing machines.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 5492603
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for recovering acetic acid from an acetic acid/water waste stream which includes a dehydration column into which the stream is fed and a liquid-liquid extraction system for recovering acetic acid from the condensate of the overhead stream of the dehydration column. Optionally, low pressure and/or high pressure absorber systems are provided to process vapor and/or liquid streams associated with the recovery system and/or the plant in which the acetic acid is used to further the recovery of acetic acid and reduce atmospheric pollution.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 1994
Date of Patent: February 20, 1996
    Assignee: Glitsch, Inc.
Inventors: Ronald G. Gualy, Wiston Lamshing, Joseph C. Gentry, Fernando Varela
