  • Publication number: 20120211932
Abstract: A spring clamp includes a pair of jaws and a pair of handles, and is provided at a rear end of each jaw and a front end of each corresponding handle with a rotatable joint mechanism. With the rotatable joint mechanisms, the jaws can be pivotally turned to different angular positions relative to the handles, so as to adjust a clamping angle contained between the two jaws of the spring clamp, enabling the spring clamp to be more convenient for use.

  • Patent number: 7600744
Abstract: A quick clamping fixture includes a main rod, on which two sliders are slidably mounted and may be braked at desired positions to clamp a workpiece between them. The two sliders each have an L-shaped plate and a set of metal plates mounted in a housing thereof with the main rod extended through these plates. The L-shaped plate and the metal plates in the housing are normally pushed by a compression spring into an inclined state to thereby firmly press against an outer surface of the main rod, preventing the slider from sliding along the main rod. When the L-shaped plate is pushed and held, the L-shaped plate and the metal plates are moved into an upright state without firmly pressing against the main rod, allowing the slider to slide along the main rod; and when the L-shaped plate is released, the slider is braked again.

  • Publication number: 20090179363
Abstract: A transmission mechanism for clamping device includes a first set of four push members located behind an operating handle, and a second and a third set of two push members located behind a release trigger. The first set of push members is pushed by a first compression spring into an inclined position for firmly pressing against a scaled rod. A specially designed plastic cushion is disposed between the second and the third set of push members, so that the second and third sets of push members are rearward and forward inclined, respectively, under a forward push force from a second compression spring for respectively firmly pressing against lower and upper sides of a scaled rod at the same time. Meanwhile, when the operating handle is pulled, the force applied via the operating handle and transmitted to the first set of four push members is optimally buffered.

  • Patent number: 7107881
Abstract: A spring clamp includes a first and a second handle; a substantially L-shaped release link having an inner section transversely mounted in the first handle and an outer section located outside the first handle, and being pivotally turnably about a supporting point mounted in the first handle between the inner and the outer section of the release link; and a shaft having a front end fixedly connected to a movable jaw extended from a distal end of the second handle and a rear end obliquely extended through a hole on the inner section of the release link. To release the two handles of the spring clamp from an immovable position when clamping two workpieces together, a user needs only to downward push the outward projected outer section of the release link using one finger.

  • Patent number: 7040609
Abstract: A clamping fixture includes a gauge rod having a fixed and a movable jaw mounted thereon, a lever-like handle, and a shift plate having a lower slot, via which the gauge rod is extended. The shift plate is connected to a rear side of the movable jaw via two shafts having compression springs mounted thereon. When the handle is downward pulled, a roller on the handle pushes the shift plate to turn clockwise, bringing the slot into an inclined position to firmly press against the gauge rod and thereby becomes immovable to stop the movable jaw from moving. The handle has a nut engaged with a screw rod mounted on the movable jaw. When the screw rod is turned, the nut and accordingly the handle are axially finely adjusted until a workpiece is firmly clamped between the two jaws.

  • Publication number: 20050160567
Abstract: An auxiliary locating mechanism for spring clamp includes a curved locking plate pivotally assembled at a supporting arm to a first handle of the spring clamp and having a toothed member provided behind the supporting arm, and a rack fixedly connected at a front end to a joint of a second handle of the spring clamp and a jaw extended from the second handle with teeth formed thereon facing toward the locking plate. When the two handles are pushed at their rear ends into a clamping position, a rear end of the locking plate is simultaneously pushed to engage the toothed member with the rack and thereby locks the two handles to the clamping position. And, when a front end of the locking plate is pushed to disengage the toothed member from the rack, the two handles are automatically pushed open by a torsional spring on the spring clamp.

  • Patent number: 6655670
Abstract: A clamping device has a transmission mechanism that includes two operating handles connected to a scaled rod extended through and connected to a movable jaw of the clamping device. Each of the operating handles has one set of front and rear push members mounted on the scaled rod to closely locate behind the handle. A cushion made of a plastic steel material with a predetermined elasticity is disposed between each set of the front and rear push members, so as to prevent the push members from loosening from the scaled rod due to an overly large force applied on the push members via the operating handles.

  • Patent number: 6619644
Abstract: A vise includes a screw rod extended through an adjustable and a fixed jaw. The adjustable jaw is internally provided with a cam sleeve having a centered cam-shaped bore and two opposite arms outward projected therefrom. The cam-shaped bore is slightly larger than an outer diameter of the screw rod, and provided at one lateral surface with a small length of screw threads. When the screw rod is turned clockwise, it brings the cam sleeve to rotate at the same time while moves in the cam-shaped bore to mesh with the screw threads in the bore, causing the cam sleeve to axially move along the screw rod and finely shifts the adjustable jaw relative to the fixed jaw. And, when the screw rod is turned counterclockwise, it disengages from the screw threads in the cam-shaped bore, allowing the cam sleeve to freely and quickly move along the screw rod.

  • Patent number: 6474632
Abstract: A driving mechanism for plank clamp includes a gear set and a rack mounted on a clamp main body to mesh with each other, a first sleeve tightly mounted on a rotary shaft of the gear set, and a coupling arm mounted on a shank of the first sleeve. When the coupling arm is pivotally turned about the rotary shaft toward the clamp main body, the first sleeve and the gear set are caused to rotate at the same time, and the rack meshing with the gear set is caused to move backward toward the clamp main body. A movable jaw fixedly connected to a free end of the rack is therefore moved toward the clamp main body, which also function as a fixed jaw of the plank clamp, to a desired position to tightly clamp a plank between it and the clamp main body.

  • Patent number: 6212977
Abstract: A spring chuck having a locking mechanism provided between two handles of the spring chuck. The locking mechanism includes a sleeve connected at an end to one handle of the chuck, a shaft having an end connected to another handle of the chuck and another end movably located in the sleeve via a lower open end thereof, a brake handle having a ring-shaped head put around the shaft and pivotally connected the lower open end of the sleeve, and a compression spring mounted around the shaft between the sleeve and the ring-shaped head of the brake. The compression spring normally pushes the ring-shaped head to pivotally turn away from the sleeve to frictionally contact with the shaft, preventing the shaft from moving in the sleeve and thereby lock the handles of the chuck to a fixed position. Pushing the brake handle toward the sleeve causes the ring-shaped head to align with the sleeve without frictionally contacting with the shaft and therefore allows the handles of the chuck to move freely.

  • Patent number: 5895159
Abstract: A heat-melting glue gun including a body shell in which a heating member containing a heat-melting glue stick, a glue stick feeding means, a gas cylinder, and a current producer are mounted. A conduit pipe extends from the gas cylinder to end with a nozzle located below the heating member which is wrapped with a layer of thermal conductive net with good heat transfer ability. Wire lines having first ends connected to positive and negative electrodes of the current producer extend their second ends to points properly above the nozzle. When a flint in the current producer is struck, an instantaneous current is generated to cause a short-circuit spark to occur between the two second ends of the wire lines. Gas supplied from the gas cylinder and jetting from the nozzle is ignited by the spark to burn below the heating member, causing the glue stick in the heating member to be heat melted.
