Abstract: A method is presented for manufacturing a plate shaped product, comprising the steps of manufacturing a first intermediate product which comprises at least, successively, a carrier, a plastic printing layer, a decorative print layer and a plastic protective layer, by using a multiple coating process, manufacturing a second intermediate product which comprises at least one plastic layer, by using at least a calendering process, and combining the first and second intermediate products by laminating, such that the second intermediate product is attached to the first intermediate product. Further a plate shaped product is provided which is manufactured using said method.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a panel, the panel having a thickness in a range of 1.5 to 6.5 mm and including at least one substrate layer and a printed decoration layer covered by a protection layer. The method includes the steps of providing a granulate containing PVC and fillers, and having a cylindrical shape with a cylinder diameter in the range of 2.5 to 3.5 mm and a cylinder height in the range of 0.2-2.0 mm, melting the granulates and forming the substrate layer by means of molten granulates. The layer have a thickness of 1 to 3.5 mm. The method also includes forming a laminated complex by applying the printed decoration layer and the protection layer to at least the substrate layer by laminating or coating.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a panel including a reinforcement sheet having the steps of: providing a first layer of thermoplastic material, providing a reinforcement sheet, laying the reinforcement sheet and the first layer onto each other, applying a second layer of thermoplastic material on top of the reinforcement sheet at a side facing away from the first layer, at least partially melting the thermoplastic materials of the first layer and the second layer, adhering the at least partially melted first layer, the at least partially melted second layer and the reinforcement sheet to each other so as to form the panel. Additionally, the reinforcement sheet and the first layer are adhered to each other by pressing them together after at least partially melting the thermoplastic material of the first layer, but before applying the second layer of thermoplastic material onto the reinforcement sheet.

Abstract: A rectangular floor panel is described with mutually parallel, substantially planar upper and lower sides and with two pairs of respective mutually opposite side edges connecting the upper and lower sides, wherein the opposite side edges of a pair are provided with complementary profiles for interconnecting adjacent floor panels. Of at least one pair of opposite side edges the profile of a first side edge is provided with a frontal face and a counter face, whereas the profile of the corresponding second side edge of the respective pair of opposite side edges is provided with a frontal face and counter face, respectively, cooperating therewith. The frontal faces and the counter faces are provided with locking tabs cooperating in the interconnected position of adjacent floor panels.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a chamfered edge with depth d along at least one edge of an upper surface of a plate shaped object, of which at least an upper layer comprises a thermoplastic (or similar) material, comprises the steps of heating the plate shaped object near to said edge; engaging the respective edge of said upper surface with pressure means for forming said chamfered edge by locally displacing material of the upper layer in a downward direction while displacing a substantially corresponding amount of material of the object in a substantially sideward direction outward of the original boundaries of the object; and removing the amount of material which has been displaced outward of the original boundaries of the object. Further a plate shaped object with an upper surface provided with a chamfered edge along at least one of the edges of said upper surface is provided.
