Assignee: SIEMENS GAMESA RENEWABLE ENERGY A/S
    Inventors: Flemming Dahl, Mogens Nielsen
  • Patent number: 11060508
Abstract: Provided is a rotor blade of a wind turbine, the rotor blade including a lightning protection system with at least one lightning receptor, wherein the lightning receptor includes a receptor part which protrudes from the surface of the rotor blade. Furthermore, the section of the receptor part with the maximum lateral extension is spaced apart from the surface of the rotor blade. Additionally, a lightning receptor for such a rotor blade and to a wind turbine for generating electricity comprising at least one such rotor blade, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20170007169
Abstract: A personal wearable monitor for monitoring a bio-electrical signal from a person. The monitor is adapted for detecting an upcoming seizure, and for providing an acoustical information signal. The monitor is provided with a first speaker (13) for providing the information signal, and a second speaker (14) is adapted for functioning as a microphone in testing if said first speaker is capable of providing a sound. The second speaker is also a back-up speaker. The monitor is adapted for providing a notification in the event that the second speaker (14) does not detect the generated sound from the first speaker (13).

  • Publication number: 20110190674
Abstract: To achieve a support for sitting or lying individuals who have difficulty in moving, the problems associated with this, such as decubitus, may be remedied by a support device according to the invention, in which a large number of cylinders (4) are arranged, each having a piston and a piston rod of its own which carries a pressure plate (3). When liquid is discharged and liquid is simultaneously supplied to an adjacent cylinder (4), the blood (9) will flow directly from one pressure plate (B) to the adjacent pressure plate (A) and is thereby conveyed through the shortest possible path possible in the body (8). This pattern is repeated for all the pressure plates, and this provides an unprecedentedly effective flow of blood to remedy the distress which is associated with a more or less permanent sitting or lying posture.

  • Patent number: 3970077
Abstract: A mechanical support, the surface of which is composed of at least two sets of interspaced surface sections, whose set level can be varied by a driving mechanism. This support can be used for persons who, for example, because of paralysis or injury must continually sit or lie and are therefore likely to get bedsores unless they are helped at regular intervals to change their sitting or lying posture.
