  • Patent number: 6059777
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for permanently removing hair from an area of patient's skin through non-invasive nor damaging system and process. The method of the present invention is non-invasive whereby the needle/probe is only inserted into a portion of the hair follicle, and never exceeding its confines. The present invention provides an improved epilation system for permanent removal of hair which relies upon finite and specific steps for non-invasive, safe, non-damaging, permanent hair removal with optimal effectiveness and with minimal or no patient discomfort; accomplishing ablation of not only the hair, but it's root structure and more importantly the specific capillary network that supports the hairs growth. Additionally, the present disclosure is highly cost effective to the patient due to short term treatment or singular treatment per hair.
