Abstract: A multifunctional vessel which for holding products, including pharmaceutical products, such as DPI or soft gel tablets, which vessel includes an outer vessel, and a moisture control material, comprising a moisture control substance, such as silica gel or clay, blended with a plastic material placed within or formed as part of the outer vessel, wherein the moisture control substance is partially or fully hydrated after formation of the final product. The moisture control material can be formed in any shape for placement within the vessel or it can be layered with the vessel to form an inner layer thereof.
