    Abstract: An insole for use in a slipper is provided. The insole includes a first cushion layer and a second cushion layer. The first cushion layer includes a first foam layer and an air permeable membrane covering the first foam layer. The second cushion layer includes a second foam layer and an air permeable membrane covering the second foam layer. The first cushion layers are arranged so that the air permeable membrane of each layer faces outward, and the first cushion layer and the second cushion layer are attached together along their perimeter to provide a cavity between the first cushion layer and the second cushion layer. The insole can be referred to as pillow cushion because of the formation of a cavity between the first cushion layer and the second cushion layer. A slipper and a method for manufacturing a slipper are provided.

    Abstract: An article of footwear including a sole extending from a toe to a heel. An upper is secured to the sole. The upper is formed of flexible material shaped to conform to a foot. The upper has opposing edges which define an ankle opening and a slot extending from the toe portion to the ankle opening. A flap is secured to the sole and sized to cover the slot. Adhering tabs are used to adhere the flap to the upper. The flap includes a raised end at the toe portion.

    Abstract: An exercise device adapted to extend beneath a door and provide an anchor for one or more body parts of an individual performing exercises. The device comprises an elongated body having a major length and including a rigid element enclosed in a flexible cover. The device further includes two straps extending generally transverse to the major length of the body. Both ends of each strap are secured to the body to thereby form a loop and at least one end of each strap is releasably secured to the body by a hook-and-loop type fastener of sufficient dimensions that the size of the loop can be varied.

    Abstract: An improved slipper sock which conforms to the foot of the wearer is formed as follows: the bottom of the foot portion of a stretchable knitted sock, which is in a stretched condition on a foot form, has temporarily attached to the exposed side thereof a thin and flexible bottom sole by use of dots of adhesive located at the extremities of the heel and toe portions thereof, the knitted sock is then removed from the foot form, and the periphery of the bottom sole is then stitched to the stretched bottom of the foot portion of the knitted sock, this stitching concurrently creating a taper in the thickness of the periphery of the bottom sole.
